Chilli,
Get with Jesus, and he will help you find a counselor. You do not have to rely upon the V.A. There are other organizations that will help.
Talk to Jesus.
O.K.?

I was talking to a buddy who related how he had turned to alcohol when confronted with issues young in life. He understands that this was a turning point in his life as his youth had otherwise been perfect.
He also reminded me that I could go to the VA here in town and get free counsling!
I just don't want to be the fruit loop sitting in a room full of pissed off dudes just back from Iraq.

As one who has spent many sessions for depression going to the VA once a week for about a year, I can say I never felt like a fruit loop and most of the vets are still older. Go check it out, there real good, you will be glad you did.

Oh, bullsh*t, Riverwind.
The only Vet older than you there is the Archangel Gabriel.
In your case, though, wouldn't you feel like a Bran Flake and not a Fruit Loop?

That's my problem! As a boy I lived in Saudi and was raised by a black man named Muhamid. That's it!..hmm. But aren't bran flakes better for you than fruit loops anyway? The shifting sands of life....but seriously my Muhamid was a great man. He took excellent care of my little bro and me.
I got an appt. with the psychiatrist next week. She seemed very willing to work with me as I don't have any overlying alcohol or acceptance issues.
I just gotta keep from craping my shorts in there, maybe I'll take a valium prior(just kidding). But if I do need to take a dump, Paolo I have a great plan.

In answer to Chilli's original question, I guess you have to go with the lesser of two evils.
That's IF either can be less evil than the other.
Man on girl, woman on boy, or vice versa - I think it's all equally damaging to a child's forming psyche.
In my case, it was only one time. I can't imagine having to endure something like that over and over.
NOW YOU HAVE DONE IT, THROWN THE GONTLET AS IT WERE. OK, ITS SABERS AT 10 BRING YOUR SECOND. ITS GOING TO BE A BLOODY AFFAIR.

Paolo-
I could not imagine being repeatedly molested by a man as a boy, it seems so physically involved and monumental.
I was never made to feel guilty, or told to not tell anyone. It was just mum doing intimate exams, drunk, running her hands through hair and a few near pubescent baths, plus her over riding will. She still talks about when my little bro and I went into puberty. I'm different because of my experiences and I can say I love myself despite all of it.

Just so you know, I wasn't repeatedly molested. It only happened once, and it was never spoken of again, nor repeated. I wasn't threatened, either. Overall, I don't consider it an overly damaging experience, but I can't help but wonder how it's affected my later life. I just have no idea.

Wow! A-1, I've never heard you so animated! But for good reason. You are absolutely right-on and I hope this young man takes your words to heart and, more than that, takes action.
Kudos,
DocTI completely agree. Absolutely on target. I worked a quarter century with addicted offenders and I know what good advice this is.
