It may be that we need to take up a collection for him, to try and get him a replacement Mac off of eBay or the like. Something to get him back online before he loses what few marbles he has left.

If a collection was to be taken up for him, and another computer was to be purchased for him, I will help as much as I can. I will put it together and set him up once again.

I thought things were looking up yesterday when I figured out how to get into the chat room but now I don't have that anymore

I tried to reinstall my OS X system last night with disasterous results:

1. The OS X wouldn't install because of errors.

2. I can't get the install program to quit.

3. I've lost viusuals of my HD and IRCle so no more chatroom

I've been reading a lot on insulin lately and am seriously considering asking my doctor to switch me from the oral medication, Glipzide, to insulin. This is assuming my Medi-cal covers both the insulin and the syringes.

I'm thinking this will enable me to better control my blood sugar. ATM, I can't seem to keep mine below 180.

Any thoughts from Paolo or other fellow diabetics would be greatly appreciated.

This of course coming from a person who is fat, eats junk food and loves sweets.

Well, I like my weight. 214 pounds at 6' 2" tall.

I don't drink but I do smoke.

I tend to eat fast food out of necessity. If I buy groceries (healthy food) I only get a portion of what I buy as my roommates get it. If I buy fast food, I get it all.

I have 4 rabbits now so have some basis to argue with River on this. Every morning, each gets a piece of bread. They all look forward to this and generally will finish it before doing anything else. The carbs give them energy to stay warm. They do get apples, bananas, pears, beans, lettuce, carrots, which is OK for us humans but they also eat alfalfa hay, rabbit pellets and dried corn on the cob which I would would not choose to eat myself given any alternatives to starving. Rabbits also have an interesting habit of eating some of their own waste. And I would not recommend that you eat any rabbit poop but if you must, I certainly have plenty if you want to try it.

I've thought about getting a rabbit, I watch youtube videos of them from time to time, they're so cute
