It was probably eaten by the roaches.

Or Monty pawned it.

His computer had another hiccup, probably choked on all the porn.

But, on Saturday I will be going up to his place and installing a replacement Hard drive and a replacement DVD drive as well. He should be back up and running by 13:00 pacific time.

Then you can blame me again for all of his new posts.

Be careful what you wish for..... you may just get it.

Ken came up and replaced my hard drive but, Safari, my only browser, still isn't working. My Microsoft word isn't working either. Ken thinks it must be something else wrong.

I'm currently using the computer at the phone store but, as they charge $3.00 per hour and I have limited funds, I won't be here often.

It looks like I may be offline for several weeks to a few months :(

Don't public libraries allow for free internet access?

Yesterday, Saturday.

I drove up to Mac's place and replaced his HDD and DVD drive after a quick test of his system I saw it was working. After that I left and came home, I gave him a call and he has stated that his computer is doing the EXACT same thing it was before I changed his HDD. I really think he has something more going on in side it.

He is running a 17" LCD iMac with 1gig of ram and an 80 gig HDD I've got more or less the same computer here, I installed the OS on a fresh HDD and took it up to make this a quick change, I had done this about 6+ months ago and all was good.

I really dont know what else I can do for him.

If anyone here has an idea I'm open to it, however its a 150+ mile round trip for me.

Many (most?) public libraries also ban places like this, as it's an adult site.

It may be that we need to take up a collection for him, to try and get him a replacement Mac off of eBay or the like. Something to get him back online before he loses what few marbles he has left.
