Big orange red spiders that build large webs just where you might walk at night usually appear in mid to late August.
They appeared, mid July.
Monsoonal flow is suppose to slop over into the LA, OC area this Weekend. Humid, muggy weather predicted.
And maybe "rain". When they talk about "rain" y'know it is gonna be a truly humid event.
Major fires at Cajon pass and here and there may aid the likelihood of rain via particulate matter.
I continue to harvest onions, sweet and brown types and I planted two kinds of corn seeds yesterday.
Corn has been such a failure this year. So have the Mission Figs. Iddy Biddy and turning purple.
And all the peach trees in the n'hood did lousy. Old established ones. Younger ones. New ones.
Suck is the season for crops.

This morning, or early PM the gray clouds covered the sky like gray cobblestones.
Thunder could be heard rumbling in the far distance.
No lightening observed.
The rumbles became a little more frequent and the sky pure fourth a good sod soaker over an hour or more.
Beyond drizzle. Easily a Light or Medium rain.
The sad news is WE know our weather people will not rejoice in the freshness of the event.
Oh NOOOoooooooo!
They will remind us the drought is not over, over and over
and we must keep conserving for the sake of new construction and water consumers.

It's about 5:30 pm and it's still raining. It must be from the water that Kristoff swept out of his garage.

Don't complain. Any water that falls on California about now has to be good.

You may thank me any time. Verdant Arizona has allowed some of our monsoon moisture to ooze over to our neighboring estado seco.
