It was 87F yesterday, with near 100% humidity and sun. I was almost comfortable.

It rained today. My barrel runneth over. My yard is a bog, the creek is out, the fields are underwater again. My garden is floating, even the old bathtub I grow sweet potatoes in.

My auxiliary well is brim full, too.

It's so wet that the tiger lilies have dropped their buds. I think the bulbs have rotted.

The tomatoes have fungus, and the Daconil spray washes off every day.

Woe is me.

The last couple days it has cooled off, the trade winds are back thank god. Nice rain this morning made it nice to work in the yard. We do things a little different here in Hawaii, sense we only get 12 to 13 hours of sun a day people get up with the sun or actually just before and get going. School starts at 7am and there gone by 2pm, I was in my yard this morning pulling the ever present weeds at 5AM.

I love it here.

It rained again.

It was 65F today.

It's July, and I have a hoodie and a blanket.

Really?!

Isn't that like being a Franciscan Monk? You know, the ones with the hoodies and those blanket like robes.

After a day of humidity the air is fresh, cool and circulating off the ocean.

2 of 3 Sugar Prune Plums are leafing. And it is July.

The gardener kept declaring them dead.

Harvested some Sweet Onions yesterday because any longer in the ground, they rot.

Some are baseball size and some are like 1 inch long and narrow. From the same starters and soil bed.

Can drought relief be far away?

It rained again.

The ground water table is...the surface.

Splish splash, and mud up to my knees. My poor garden.

I should have planted wild rice.

Yes, devi, I feel and look like a monk. Although it was hot today.

I love 90F+ and humidity.
