That seems to be normal here, rain in the morning, sunshine, rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine, rain, you get the idea, its that way all day every day. Most people just kind of ignore the rain, its always warm so who cares.

;)Dave you might need new tires I like Michelin Tires Ernie

This was one of only two days that I wanted specialized rain tires.

The other time was a few years ago when I looked 1000 feet ahead and watched a car spin in circles at 50mph on a road that was too wet.

I luv my 1995 4WD Ford Expedition with ABS brakes & Goodrich all weather tires (my favs)

Sometimes, when cruising or braking on a slick road, one can feel a less than a second lapse as a new wheel grips or the ABS brakes transmit a pumping feeling up the brake pedal. With the big, thirsty V8 - it is beautiful when such a vehicle gets me through it all, safely.

Wonderful, Spring like weather here, hotter inland they say.

The garlic and some onions are ripe. Amazingly the same onion stock grows diff in diff planter beds.

I have had ABS in my cars for many years now and when I say I've felt slip in the tires, it is because the ABS grabs and the car floats on water. This past rain was exceptional and just laid too much water on the road to drain away.

The first time this happened I was in a crowd of traffic doing 55mph and was glad the ABS wouldn't spin the car. The only thing I could do that wasn't dangerous was take my foot off the gas pedal and let the car slow itself.

the time I talk about doing circles, I was going up hill when I saw the car in front by about 500 feet go spinning. Again, drainage from a hillside just flooded over the road and was only about a 1/4 inch deep but that was enough to spin a car. The only other car on the road was a truck about 1000 feet behind me and I was still on the berm when he passed.

Western PA has had rain almost daily for a month. The ground is saturated and the rivers are high.

Storms are predicted tomorrow that will drop another inch or so on the ground. That's enough to cause flash flooding. With all the hills and valleys we have around here - - even a thin coating or rain will lift a car at anything over about 40 mph.

On an interstate where people want to do 70mph -- I'll take the long way home through all the red lights and city streets.

I :hearthrob the way those ABS brakes keep the car going straight and stops it toot sweet.

While they were standard in Ford, they were not standard in Toyota for a long, long time.

Try Goodrich, all weather tires if you are not loyal to any tire as I am.

Muggy here. Gray skies of various strata and shades gave way to some setting sun light.

The temp was certainly not above the mid 70's.

As a mild lunger, I do not like humidity.

It did actually sprinkle a few large rain drops last night. Not enough to make a solid wet pavement but, wet.

The dead appearing peach trees and plum trees are showing some growths.

Some ripe garlic and onions while other onions are runted and their green dying back. Some are flowering.

The tomatoes all wilt. One raspberry is producing berries while others wither. The boysenberry is going strong.

My corn keeps flowering when it is barely a foot high. What is happening?

Asparagus patch advice always appreciated.

The late Dutch writer Martin Bril had introduced the term Rokjesdag - Short Skirts Day. It is the first summerly day when all the women seem to have agreed to have bare legs and to wear a short skirt. The term includes the joy of the early summer and the sensual pleasure to watch all these women's bare legs.

This year it was different, it was not Rokjesdag, it was korte broekendag - Shorts Day. It seemed that for the very first time all the (young) men had agreed to wear shorts at the first summerly day this year. What a lovely early summer day this time extra wonderful with all these manly bare legs. The funny thing is that the term Korte Broekendag - Shorts Day - didn't arise only in my mind, but all around, on the radio, in the newspapers, on TV.

P.S. Wikipedia says that Martin Bril did not introduce the term Rokjesdag. It seems also to be known in the USA as "Skirt Day".

With a 2-3 hour cycle

The air is cool and fresh, a wonderful breeze.

The air becomes still, humid, oppressive although not even 80F

Some water drops appear on the pavement

A few claps of distant thunder.

The air is cool and fresh, a wonderful breeze.

And so it goes.

If I really :hearthrob this weather, I could move near RiverLava and have it moreso and hotter too.

I texted the fellow who mows my lawn Sunday and said please mow when it dries. Monday was to be dry.

Let me repeat, Monday was to be dry.

So Monday afternoon I hear the mowers and trimmers and

TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY (as they say)

it rained while the fellow finished.

Today, a huge front of several thunderstorms moved through Western Pa tonight right at dinner time. And the insult question is - - did you tempt fate and use th even or cook everything on the gas range?

I'm cursed, I tell ya, I'm cursed.
