If you just like the feeling of big hard heavy balls, sterile saline, or sterile water, best choice.
Even so, such injections could still cause you to become sexually sterile, adversely affect testosterone production or contribute to an infection and complications.
I'd stay away even from sterile distilled water. There is a reason for saline, it contains approximately the same amount of salts as the body tissues.
So it works this way: water moves to the place with higher concentration of salts, as to equalize salinity. This is called osmosis (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmosis).
Now take your testicle cells and distilled water. After injection, salinity of injected water is zero. Salinity in surrounding cells is higher, so the water starts moving through the cell walls inside the cells.
The outcome depends on the amount of water. Too much pressure, and cells do burst. End result could be close to the one with alcohol injection, just much, much slower.

Thanks fhunter. Good advice. The benefits of sharing our thoughts is that others can help add to our knowledge base.

fhunter, I agree boiled tap water is NOT the way to go. Yes it kills the bacteria, but there are still other impurities, such as high calcium chloride content like we have here in the Southern California water supply (Colorado rRiver as the source). However distilled is not necessarily as bad as you make it out to be, and likely only will cause very mild damage:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3937814
"Following the injection of distilled water testicular histology appeared unaltered except for a few empty tubules around the injection site, which probably resulted from injection trauma"
Now it will depend on the quantity you use, but also remember ronniethor is intending to inject alcohol anyways!!
in the past I have injected saline solution made from distilled water and the packets that come with a Neti Pot / sinus flush kit. Interestingly, the saline would not stay in the testicle very long - it seemed to get flushed out of there very quickly.

Time for an update. I have been to see my urologist last week. I have mixed emotions about the visit. Was told that everything was ok and the Dr. was just interested in adjusting my T levels. Even though I had an ultrasound of my testicles and a hydrocele and varicocele where found. He said dont worry about them, stating that about 70% of men my age have these without any problems developing.
This guy seems to be a decent urologist but I get the feeling he isnt interested in helping me get what I want. Which is a orchiectomy and penis removal. I am in no great hurry to get these surgeries done but I want to feel I am seeing a doctor who will help me get there.
My next move I guess should be to look for another Dr. One of my thoughts now is to go to a university medical school that is near by and they have a good urology dept there. Is this a good idea. I dont travel and dont have the money to see any of the doctors mentioned on the site here.
Also I am not going to start banding them to remove them, that would be a lethal move for me. I guess that I am a little depressed that I will have to start all over again. Would it be a bad idea to ask my current urologist for a refferal to a Dr. that could help me get what I want done.
Now I feel stuck what do I do next? Skudster
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also I have never come out and said to him that I want an orchiectomy or penis removal, Should I have put that out there right away.

This is all part of the process, you've got to branch out a little. Getting castrated is a journey, try, try, and try again! Female urologists might be your best bet actually. Here's a list of them from your area, there are 37. It can't hurt to try one that's close to you and ask for a second opinion. Don't ask for a penectomy, that'll send up a red flag. However, if you're concerned about your testicles being cancerous and they're not functioning or deformed, press the need for castration. Tell her you're more concerned about getting cancer then you are about keeping your diseased testicles. Good luck! Your age can be used to help you, use it. Say something like, "At my age I'm not worried about my sexuality, I'm worried about living longer!" You've got to speak up and tell them you want them out, because you're afraid that they'll become cancerous, which is a real possibility with atrophied organs like testicles.
Here's the list:

I haven't posted in awhile,so here is my latest. My testicles have finally shrank. They are very small and hard. They did not want to take any alcohol on my last injection attempt. They are drawn up tight to my body.Hopefully they are finished.

Dear Eunuchus, I declare, by the powers invested in me by? well by me, that you are a certified eunuch. Congratulations! Cheers.
If you want to make it official, go straight to your urologist, do not pass "GO", and demand their removal. Seriously, have you shown them to your urologist and what did he or she say? If you're passive and not proactive, they might not remove them. You've got to have balls and be firm in asking for their removal. Use cancer as a motivator. There's no time like the present. Good luck!

Thanks Hash. I have an appointment May 3rd. I was getting bummed out. I will be persistent about the possibility of cancer.

Hi everyone,
I just saw my urologist today, for the first time.
I've been telling all the problems I have with my testicles

and the effects on my everyday life.
after an exhaustive discussion, he did an echography of the boys. He saw problems on both of them, declaring it's very unusual...
He sent me to make a blood test, results on friday afternoon, but told me that if it didn't show something wrong, he would prescribe a biopsy, on both of them.
So I asked if it could be a cancer? He answered no, because it's extremely rare to get a cancer on both of testicles at the same time, and that my blood vessels were normal, not as one can find in testicle cancer.
So, he must find what's going on...
I can see I'm an enigma to him... So I will be patient, and if the biopsy have to be done, I'll tell him to remove them in case of problems, instead of getting the risk of complications

... I hope I'm on my way, now.
I'll keep you informed.

. You cannot use alcohol injections to castrate yourself. It is bad advice and anyone here giving advice that you can are being very recklless.
