The days of 5 to 20 % chance of rain yielded, "rain" last night.
Around 10:30 AM I looked outside and noticed the ground was wet and a lite rain was falling, okay - maybe just a drizzle but certainly more than Oregon Mist.
The rain gutters were dripping and my rain gauge, estimates 1/8".
Now here is the suspicious part.
When I checked the "interactive radar" there was no record of this precipitation while I watched it come down.
Sometimes, the "interactive radar" showed light rain while the ground was bone dry.
Why isn't the "interactive radar" showing me my rain? It no doubt serves the drought parrots to deny Moi full information regarding precipitation. No doubt.
You gotta a better explanation ?

In areas sometimes the rain originates in high clouds. If, as in times of drought, the humidity is extremely low, the rain falling evaporates before it can hit the ground. Doppler radar does not lie, but if the rain evaporates before it hits the ground, nothing gets wet, even though it is raining. If you can get up into the mountains it is probably only drizzle & fog.

The other day when I was food shopping, I cam out of the supermarket to unload the groceries and DAMN if that raincloud didn't produce tiny HAIL and ICEBALLS.
The ugly part of it was that many tiny icebergs found the back of my neck and slid in the most chilling manner down my back.
I hate wet and cold down my back.

Who needs radar? It's a given here that it's going to rain...and rain...and rain...until the end of June, that is, when it'll turn into a desert again.
Where else can you get all the climates found on Earth without ever leaving your yard?

Its a pleasant 80 here today with a breeze off the ocean. Which is cool because no matter what direction you go you will end up at the ocean. I think we have seen the last of the whales for the year, Easter morning we saw some breaching which was really cool.
