I thought Kristoff was loaded?

It's 93 outside but only 73 inside with my working swamp cooler.

It is a bit more expensive to live in Hawai'i about 15 to 20% however you learn to live different which saves you about 15 to 20%. Its hard to explain but you don't need Air Conditioning or heat to warm your house unless you live at the higher elevations. You need less, less of everything ... people here live simple they don't collect a lot of stuff, just the opposite they get rid of stuff. Many grow their own food or a good part of it, the farmers market is always packed and full of deals for fresh produce.

People that make it here leave the mainland behind and learn to eat and think local. Accept the island for what it gives you and want for nothing more. The people that fail here try to bring it with them, think that they can change Hawai'i to fit their lifestyle and it does not work. It is in many ways like living in another country, this is not the America you know it is more Asian in culture, several local languages spoken all the time. It reminds me more of living in Thailand then the USA. The pace is much slower, there is no hurry here. Things get done when they get done and its right on time. That fast pace gotta go move move move lifestyle doesn't work here and never will.

Hawai'i is laid back and the people that live here would have it no other way.

This morning its raining, we love it when it rains. The rain is warm fresh leaves rainbows waters the yard, rinses off the car. The clouds are leaving and the sun is coming out, in an hour or so it will reach 80 or there abouts, and we will enjoy another beautiful day here on the big island.

Aloha

It rained like hell last night, this morning where I usually eat on the lanni I had to eat inside it was wet and cold outside, it was only 70 deg. The water tanks are full to overflowing altho the solar panels are not getting enough sun, I may need to run the generator for an hour later today.

One might say there was, "rain".

The Atmospherics were beautiful around 8 PM with an occassional mist not enough to wet the pavement.

At 10PM it did "rain" for a moment before all future radar stuff says, "so long folks" to the rain.

At best it was "trace". Barely a wetting. Not enough to make the rain gutters drain.

Suck Was the Rain Event. :-\

It has been raining for three days straight here, even kind of cold and everything, down in the low 70's burrrr.

I know you have seen pictures of jungle with this misty fog where the clouds are so low there right into the trees, that is what its been like here, Wonderful, beautiful, water tank overflowing.
