Sometimes I think I am being too patient. Yet, many other things going on in my life and adding medical exams and surgery to my calendar right now would be stressful.

But when opportunity knocks, I am ready to take the initiative and move forward.

I was just to see my urologist last week and was scheduled for an ultrasound when I told him my testicles had changed in the last few months. I told him my right testicle was slightly smaller and it had a hard spot in the middle of it, the left one was a lot smaller. I got copies of the ultrasound and the results report. Thats when I discovered that I have a hydrocele in the right one and a varicocele in the other. I did not let any of them that I had used everclear on them. I will get the full results when I see the urologist in April. I had waited about six months before going to the urologist, hoping there wouldnt be any needle marks and also I wanted to see how much they would shrink. When I looked at the ultrasound pictures I looked closely for anything that might look like needle tracks but didnt see any, maybe I was lucky. I am anxious as to what else the urologist may say. I hope its enough to get my orchi, considering the hydrocele and varicocele will require seperate surgeries for each problem and also not knowing if there is not more or other problems, I will have to wait to see what the next step will be. I will try to keep everyone informed as to whats happening next. Skudster

Trend setters we seem to be. Of course a few photos from an ultrasound are not the complete picture, but do have value. The live motion "video" of the exam will tell more. I would doubt that an ultrasound would be high enough resolution to show needle punctures. The hydrocele and variocele could be a result of the injections. I don't know what the odds of having two different kinds of "celes" at once are. Will be looking forward to your results and progress.

Perhaps I am at a disadvantage in commenting here; an extensive and intensive understanding of biology is a requirement for my being licensed as a professional engineer doing bioengineering.

My personal view, as an avowedly-competent biologist (biologist is not a licensed profession where I live), is simply that testicles die "spontaneously" often enough that alcohol injection alarms will not likely be set off when a physician is presented with one or more dead testicles.

My personal best guess is also that, by using fine enough needles, there will be no residual "needle tracks" noticed during any biopsy.

And, my professional view is that any level of distress with testosterone/testicles sufficient to lead anyone to seek castration which is comparable to my personal experience, or the experiences of anyone who does alcohol injection, comprises a proper form of unambiguous medical necessity.

Just as a mild tanget to this thread...is there every a point where the atrophy from using exogenous Testosrerone for years would be a cause enough for concern and removal of the atrophied lads?

I worried mine may be tested as they were removed at one of the top hospitals which is also a teaching and pioneering hospital but I had no problem in fact the opposite when i went for my followup I think they were a bit depressed it wasn't the rare cancer they thought it was they just said they were dead and because of that they didnt bother with any more tests. As for them twisting after 25 the pipe work gets harder and harder the older you are so it becomes rare and by the time you get to 35 its almost impossible for them to twist.

4 days apart was definitely too soon. Tuesday wasn't bad, but Wed and Thurs the balls were very swollen and aching, especially the right one, which was hard and tender when squeezed. They finally settled down today, though the right one is still swollen and tender. Hopefully next week I will start to get a better idea of what damage has been done so far.

TooMuchT,

Sounds like you're accomplishing your goal. Take your time and don't be too quick.

Don't try too quickly. I had pain when I injected too soon

Definitely. I thought the swelling had gone down. But apparently there was still some cooking going on.

I had not injected in several months. One small area of one nut was not numb and rather annoyingly sensitive to touch. This was on the outer wall, not inside. I injected a little into that area a couple of weeks ago (inside, below the sensitive area). Afterward There was swelling, but no pain as a result of the injection. It has been about 2 weeks now since the injection and the swelling is gone and the small sensitive spot is now almost 100% numb, just a tiny spot remains, but maybe it will demise soon. Lab tests of last year confirm loss of natural T production, and I am now on a low dose HRT. I injected again just to get rid of some annoying sensitivity in one area, and it worked. If it becomes sensitive again, or if the little spot does not go numb, I will reinject again until it finally succumbs. I think this speaks towards GOING SLOW.
