How about you load him up in the back of the truck along with the rest of the lumber in your back yard.

Just now when I tried to get out my back door, he was laying on the porch blocking my door AGAIN.
I'd call the cops but they're about as helpful as tits on a boar.
Police usually don't like to get involved in running disputes because they frequently blow up in their faces. Some woman calls "my husband be beatin on me agin!" and they come to take the jerk away and she switches sides "how come you take my man away he aint done nothin wrong never!" and then she pulls a gun and shots the policeman.
You can't make this a case of your personal wishes because the police will view those as changeable and treacherous. Make it a matter of a court order.
OK, Monty yelled at you and restrained your movements. Legally his actions now constitute kidnapping. Contact legal aid for the elderly; repeat this story and say that he has threatened you, prevented you for coming and going from your house freely, and you fear him. You do not want him in your home, on your property or anywhere near you. They will get a restraining order from a judge telling Monty that he cannot come on to your property or even be within a specified distance of you. If he violates that court order (even by getting closer than 100 yards--that's the usual distance), the police have no choice but to act. He has broken the law.
However, if you take this action, you must be consistent. You cannot back down, relent, decide that Monty really means well, is misunderstood, deserves another chance or any of that bullshit. You must decide that he is a threat and you want him gone forever.

Thank you gareth. On Monday I need to go downtown anyways to turn in 4 library books so, I'll stop by the court house and see what's involved in getting a restraining order.
When I awoke today, Monty was off my front porch but was sitting on my sidewalk close to the porch so I was able to get around him. His small TV was on my outside back porch so I moved it to the grass. If I find his TV on my porch again, I'll toss it as far as I can throw it.

As I walked out on my front porch this afternoon, I noticed Monty had a bigger TV on my porch. I just now told him to move it. I'll give him two hours then move it myself. Since I'm not as strong as I once was, I might drop it.
When I was out on my front porch there was a police officer there talking to Monty. According to the officer, Monty's dog (FatBoy) had lunged at the officer who almost shot him. Monty was warned by the officer to keep the dog on a leash or else.

Turns out the big TV was mine, so Monty says. I brought it in the house without looking for the Trojan Timebomb.

Flo, there are many days that I'd trade my excitement for the easygoing life of a wealthy Minnesota gentleman like yourself

Today was bizarre. Monty was cleaning my driveway and his bedroll was no where in sight. Something must be up
