I did find out I have a hydrocele in one testicle and have a varicocele in the other testicle. I wont get the full results for two weeks when I go see my urologist. Are the results above enough to start asking for an orchiectomy yet. Yes I know I should wait for the results in two weeks but I dont like waiting. Also should I be asking cretain other questions to the urologist that might help get my orchiectomy done. I hope the everclear has done its work. Skudster

Skudster, you and I are about the same point in getting our respective orchiectomies. You only have to wait two weeks for the results while I'm having to wait four for mine. I should know very soon; however. Good luck to you.

After the first 2 shots of 1.5cc 100proof 4 days apart, I decided to be patient and wait 2 full weeks for round 3. Today I kicked it up a notch and hit them with 2cc ea of 151 proof Everclear (highest I can get in California). Surprisingly not bad - not even as uncomfortable as the first shot of Vodka. Took some Aleve, put on some compression running shorts, and iced then for about 10 min when they started aching a little. I am now back to working on the house, so really not much discomfort at all. The plan now is for one more round of Everclear 151, then wait for 30-60 days and see how things settle out.

One thing I noticed after just first 2 shots of vodka was that they had lost a lot of their temperature sensitivity already.

To inject or not to inject, that is a question.

I do have 97% ethanol and have bought syringes. Now comes a big question.

I do understand pros and cons. I do understand the risks, and that the results are permanent. And I am not sure and afraid to proceed.

If you are not sure, then you have no business proceeding. 100% or nothing. 1% off and there's a chance you will regret it.

The Good Sister has it exactly right. If in doubt (no matter how small the doubt), do not do it.

fhunter, Why do you want to do this? What are your reasons? You seem pretty young. At 27, you have many years ahead of you. Who knows what will happen with your life, who you will meet and maybe you will even want raise a family. Maybe you should wait six months or more and revisit it then. Give it some time if you're not 100% sure. There's no reason to make a hasty decision that will have significant lifetime consequences. Noname

I agree with Kristoff. In general I believe in the words "When you doubt, don't do it!" On items like this I believe it counts more then ever.

Why not give the medications a try again? I've read about your previous Androcur trial, wouldn't it worth to have yourself chemically castrated at first and only then proceed to a permanent solution?

I was on Siterone for a year and a half to experience many of the effects of low testosterone before I was absolutely sure that I wanted to make it permanent and could live with the consequences. It really is good advice to do a "test run" first because you can't take it back later.

I can now understand why people early in this thread thought it was ok to inject almost daily. The ONLY hint I have that I injected them yesterday is that they feel heavier and harder.

Did anyone else feel hornier following the first couple injections? I am assuming that it is related to the adrenaline rush of the injections and that it will soon pass.
