There's Always The Weather

No storminess until Sunday.

Then - a storm lovers delight. The barometer dropped near half an inch and the winds were a blowin'. The last time I saw a barometer drop like that there was a tornado across the mini-bay in Costa Mesa.

The really heavy rainfall seems to be stalled at the LA/LB latitude where the radar is red and the weatherman say an inch an hour. After hours and hours of this my cable TV is interrupted for National Weather Service announcements like,

"It is raining hard",

or "Wow are the winds strong".

Thanks National Weather Service and Cable TV, I guess I should take my laundry off the clothesline.

Global Warming enthusiasts, watch for images of the Southern California coastline as the high tide of 5.81' is due at 10:26PM as the main rain passes over the precious Republican coast. (Remember, no lot assessments, we all pay for their sea wall type Republicans.)

All we have had here in northern cal this past week is rain and more rain.Well there is that white stuff in the mountains we call snow that is about 60 feet so far this winter and still coming down.Last I herd we are going to see this rain until at least the first of April.

We are now in the last days of winter, the last couple days its been in the 50's the snow is about 2/3 gone lots of mud from the snow melting and in a couple days it will be 30 and snowing again, then back to the 50's and then back to the 30's and snowing again, this is our forecast for the rest of the month. This is normal for our area, Winter hanging on for all its worth and soon the day will be longer then the night, and Winter will finally die away to spring. I can't wait, my eyes are already starting to water and my nose is starting to itch hell by July I will be looking forward to Winter again.

The one thing I am not looking forward to is cleaning up the yard. We got that 12" heavy wet snow just a couple days before the Saturday I was going to rake them. Probably be a lot of winter kill this year, too. We'll see what comes back, once spring gets here in May.

Singular 10mg tablet.

In stable times I stop them. But, a day or two after the rain - when the mold and mildew spores bloom (no not black mold, Ghia!) - I am headed. Then if needed some Pseudoephedrine60mg/Guaifensin400mg ya gotta ask the pharmacist, CVS calls it their Chest Formula but it is mostly sinus active, and if that is still not enough sinus and eyes relief, add a touch of Brand Name - this one generic ain't the same

Chlortrimaton 4mg as an anti histamine. Rarely needed by experience. Half works. iddy biddy doses.

If chesty, I add my albuterol inhaler or a touch of Bronkaid tablets - ya gotta ask the pharmacist. Friends and I find we can handle up to one and a half tabs of the pseudo-fed + Bronkaid favoring site of most need. We take them by the halves.

But, Singular 10mg reduces the incidence of need for the above. Works for me on a start stop basis.

Oh, and regarding Blood Pressure bugga boo.

Although the heart beats stronger and faster, the vessels are dilated so pressure usually comes down but never up in my experience. These days we can monitor ourselves. Except for my extremely slow metabolizing Mexican friend - he buzzes out and takes a few days to burn off a pediatric dose, meds wear off in 4-6 hours. Less buzzy with adequate nutrition. As I cruise the borders of hypoglycemia as an endogenous high, I try remember to eat before taking.

Yes even though I am moving at the end of the month there is still a lot of yard work that needs to be done. We have two dogs, one is large and some of the stuff they leave has been there frozen in time for months.

My son gets the big ones, I get the small ones, . Plus the dead birds, and all.

Its Wednesday Mar 23, 2011 and we just got another 4.8" of snow bringing our total for the year to 86.6" of snow for this season.

Not snow or sleet or the black of night will stop me,

A little warm spell. Put on a thin cotton shirt as flannel was finally too hot.

The California drought is officially over as reservoirs are full and snow pack is beyond anyone's hope in the, La Nina year. Time to drop that theory.

In conclusion the weather in paradise remains boring and we got so much water we should be bottling it. Fresh California Water, it will go up in value when it gets scarce again. Trust me. PM interest. Truly if there is enough for the delta smelt, farmers and southern California too, I would like to see the Tule ecosystem re established in the Central Valley although I figure it would make the big valley one humid place in Summer. And not just one big polluted place as it is today. Horrible smog along the 99.

But, the NBC Evening News did point out a God's Vengeance storm going up the Blue areas of the Atlantic Coast. Not exactly their presentation.

Any first hand EA reports on said winter storm of spring?

Wallkill, NY..in the mid Hudson valley...No accumulation...still spitting a winter mix, but it doesn't appear to be sticking...The temp is 33 right now and going up to 44 this afternoon...We lucked out, as the weather channel predicted 2-5 inches of snow...This may be Mother Nature's last hurrah for the snow...Hope so.

Yep, its snowing again, I think I need to tell my landlady this will delay my move at least a week.

Moi, I lived in the big valley for better then 20 years, it has humidity, lots of it. In Modesto where I lived at least in the evening the breeze would make its way over the Altamount (sp) from Livermore and cool the place off.

I don't know how much I am going to move over today, I think mainly tubs as it looks like a real nasty day here in the land of 25,000 lakes. We don't have a water problem here in the water wonderland of the world.
