I think I might have done it. On Sunday night/Monday morning was the worst pain of my life. Went to the local ER and when they did the ultra sound the results came back with no torsion, but bilateral epididymal cysts and small left hydrocoele. They were swollen at the time, but now that the swelling is gone, they feel small and hard. I also can't remember the last time I had an erection, nor when anything even remotely sexually interested me. Now to get my urology appointment and see what they have to say.

Hi I am very upset now as I had a call from my urologist who has said after my Last test I am still making T so they now think it would be an idea to take out only the one nut as the right one still has some life left in it on the ultra sound I am so depressed. He has also said that he may refer me to a different hospital as he is worried it may be this rare type of cancer that will cause even more proplems. I think I have jumped the gun and feel like just taking a knife to them my self or if they only take the one I will do the other. This may sound stupid but its just how I feel. I will know on monday if they are going to transfer me if not the op is on wednesday and I just have to try and get them to take both.

I have not posted for here for a couple of weeks and I was hoping to have more news by now. I had an appointment with a Urologist last Thursday,but bad weather and icy roads changed it to the 25th of January. I believe the testicles are dead now. I have no sexual urges at all. I have noticed my beard is slower in growing and seems to be finer hair now than before. My testicles are drawn up tight to my body and the scrotum seems to be shrinking as well. My testes won't take much alcohol any more. If I try to inject too much then alcohol will leak out and cause that nasty burn feeling. The last time I did injections I felt a crunch while inserting a needle. I have not suffered from any bad depression yet,I hope it stays that way. I have However,felt hot and sweaty a few times. So, that is my latest.I hope to know more on January 25.

I figured I'd share some info on my blood test results from January 4 (basic metabolic profile w/ total testosterone and estrogen. I've been on feminizing hrt for a little over 2 months. I take 4 mg estradiol and 200 mg spironolactone per day. I took estrogen and only 100 mg spiro the first month. So far I have subtle but noticeable changes, particularly breast development.

Here are the results

Total estradiol: 819 pg/mL, Normal range for males less than 130 pg/mL. Normal range for females: 200-400 pg/mL.

Total testosterone: 50 ng/dL, Normal range for males 250-1100 ng/dL. Normal range for females 10-85 ng/dL.

Also, my calcium, creatinine and carbon dioxide levels were high, especially the CO2 (32 nmol/L, 21-32) and calcium (10.3 mg/dL, 8.5-10.1). My urologist thought the calcium levels were a bit strange.

Another thing that seemed strange was the "Result Comment" on the sheet which said "Total estrogen assay not recommended for use in pre-pubertal children."

I figure they mistook me as pre-pubertal because of my testosterone being practically at castrate level. IDK

When I get may estrogen check I write on the lab sheet for them to use the estrogen sensitive test. It's supposed to be the better method for males and soon to former-males I guess

Don't fret or get angry, think about what you might do. You can ask for a second opinion or another test. In the meantime you inject the testicle that's still producing testosterone and wait awhile. You could tell your urologist that you're not satisfied with his recommendation stating that the cancer scares you to the point that you want them both removed just in case. Probably stick with a second recommendation first, but don't take matters into your own hands. Patience! You've waited this long, a little more patience and you'll be a eunuch.

Thanks for that they decided to give me a full CT scan today so that should swing things either one way or the other and the urologists and oncologists are going to discuss my case on friday, one of them phoned me today and we had a good chat he now knows how I feel and is behind me that if I want both out then thats what I should have, he said he would try and fight my case at the meeting. I will let you all know the outcome.

Iam a bit sad today though as my op should have been this mornning before they changed their minds so by now 9pm in the UK I would have been a Eunuch and very happy but still as you say it will come one day and I know its worth the wait.

Have now done 4 injections into each testicle, a week appart using 80% alcohol, about 1.5 cc into each . Both testicles now feel much harder. The left has slightly shrunk, but the right has gone slightly bigger. As yet, I have only experienced the effect of feeling more tired, but nothing else. Not shaking as much when I inject now and the pain is about the same after injecting. Hope it is working.

Well, I went to my doctor Wednesday and he had blood test done and My T level is 168. I did not think it would be above 100. So now the doctor wants me to try Testim HRT.
