You can find them with Google. I have to add this. I looked at their site more and it has DVDs of surgey and fetish stuff like inserting what look like small marbles under the skin of the scrotum. Stuffing rods up people uretheras and male fisting?! In other words way off the beam from the mainstream.

So (just my opinion) I would think twice about them. Talk to your local MD and have them suggest a urologist or a cosmetic surgeon. I know the question was "Who will do this no questions asked" Even Dr Kimmel (And before him Dr Spector) asked questions. Maybe not many vrs a more traditional urologist. But I think the point is this. Do you really want someone to lop off ANY body parts without any discussion?

My understanding is that ORR will do just plain old castrations, and post castration will do penectomies.

The fetishistic stuff is also available in accomodating those who want a "scene" and is recorded for the customer's use, again, as I understand.

I have never had any dealings with them so can only relay what I have learned from people whom I consider to be reliable information sources. From what I have learned, they are real, they do a good job, they are a bit expensive. After that, you must investigate your resources until you are satisfied.

I'm 1 year post castration and I am still happy I had it done. I'm also happy I had Dr. Alter do it. It is so nice not having those nasty things hanging between my legs any more. I don't miss them at all.

On a more serious note, I have been seeing a surgeon at the LA Spine Institute account I have 4 degenerated discs in my lower spine. When they did a bone density scan, they found I had some Osteoporosis in my lower spine and right femur. If there is too much bone loss in the L-5, they are going to fuse that one and do "Pro Disc" disc replacements for the rest. He won't know for sure until he gets in there to look. I'm hoping he can use the Disc Pro at all four places. On the 31st, I go in for a Disco gram test which is suppose to be fairly painful, but is necessary to prove to the insurance company they need replaced. They will then pay 100% of the bill. After I get the OK from the insurance company, I get a surgery date. It will probably be in March. This is a very Invasive surgery as they go in from the front and have to take out my innards while they fix my spine. I'll be out of commission for 2-3 months. I'm hoping this will lead to a good settlement from the railroad and maybe an early retirement. I don't want my new discs to get ruined also.

Getting my balls and scrotum removed was a piece of cake compared to this. So if your holding off getting castrated because of a little pain, don't. Think what I'm going through and don't worry about it.

It will be interesting to see what kind of reaction I will get from the nurses at St. John's Hospital, since I'm missing a few parts. I imagine they will have to put in a catheter.

For those of you that talk to God, any supportive prayers would be greatly appreciated. I need all the help I can get. This is a little scary. Thanks to you all, Steve

PS, My GP put me on Exoprin, Astaxanthin 4mg. , CoQ10 100 mg & L-Carnitine 500 mg. and two Ultra Tums twice a day for my bone health. He is one of the few that likes to go the natural route instead of the pharmaceutical route.

A friend of mine had the surgery you are facing (from the front). It was difficult for her but the results were very good. I hope you have as much relief as she. Take care. --FLO--

Hairless,

I wish you the best and hope for a speedy and complication-free recovery. Spinal surgery is never easy or quick to recover from.

As for nurses and catheters, I am sure that many of them, if they have been around for a while, have seen the after effects of cancer (testicular and prostate, especially) surgeries, as well as injuries. If they treat you with anything less that respect, discuss it with your physician as an "observation." If needed after that, bitch to the hostpital's ombudsman or patient rep.

Kristoff,

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I thought I would take a copy of your avatar with me. If they get out of line, I'll show them the picture and tell them I will sic you on them.😄 Steve

I saw my surgeon yesterday about the disc-o-gram results. I have three levels that need repaired The upper one he will be able to do a disc replacement. The lower one, he will have to fuse. The middle one he won't be sure of until he gets in there, but he thinks he will have to fuse it. He said he will do a disc replacement if the bone will hold it. We'll just have to wait and see. He said that as long as he can replace the upper one, it will save the ones above. I'm now waiting for the approval from the insurance company, then we will get a surgery date. I am also through being a railroad engineer. He said I could never do that again. I have mixed feelings about this. I will not miss the UP railroad, but I will miss the people I work with. I will really miss running trains, it was one thing I was very good at. I have been told by the management that I was the best engineer on our division. I'll be 55 in a few weeks, time to find something else to do. Sorry if you guys don't want to hear this stuff, it doesn't really go with the subject of this thread, but it helps me deal. Steve

Count on me to mention you in my prayers. You've been a good friend and listened to all my dumb questions. A couple words of advise on the more major surgery (No snub intended to the post orchiectomied) The meds they give you to knock down the pain do a number of the bathroom stuff so eat lots of roughage, take some mild laxitives and DO NOT try to be an iron man and ignore taking your pain meds. Surgery like this HURTS! Your not going to win a purple heart for toughing it out. Enjoy the time at home, read if you can and take it easy. Hope they schedual you soon so you can recover soon as well!
