And those pictures are rivers.
Consider the creeks, gullies and soggy ground that oozes water like a wet carpet when you walk on it.
We trust YOU people will not be looking to the government to manage your rivers.
That money is ear marked for Newport Beach's improved sea wall. The Conservative Republican homeland where the limitations of government are respected.
You soon to be flooded out poor river folk should be grateful for the fresh water and appreciate the order of things and limitations of government as the Conservative Republican folk of Newport Beach. Now go fill some sand bags.

I live near one of those and before you ask, no... it can't flood my house.
However, years ago it flooded in winter and froze. After they plowed the road out I saw ice chunks as big and as thick as cars thrown off the road by thos big monster plows. Normally, that stream is a foot deep.

The national weather report shows a nice thick, slow moving dark green with yellows and reds cavalcade of radar colors inching across the eastern third of America. From the deep south to the rust belt and on to the Atlantic coast where -
Little Falls, New Jersey is flooding with a river view all around homes. As I watch NBC News.
As Brian Williams sez, more water to areas that certainly don't need it.
I would gloat from my perch in Paradise (S. Calif. Coast) except the pollen count causing the miseries. Not allergy. Just too much air crap. Even if it is organic.
How's it going in the Midwest and East?
Snorkle time?

NBC News reports the Passaic River is over flood stage. The area is that part of the Garden State nearest NYC.
Good thing Bob3 has a top floor apartment.
How's it going EA Nation? Staying dry?
Frozen citizens wait your turn. Your rivers will rise. Your fields would be better used for rice.

I am so getting tired of this northern calif rain I want to get riding on those long winding back country roads on my Kawasaki.

Its official, winter can leave, the snow can go now.
Actually this is the worst part of the year, the spring thaw. It freezes at night leaving this nice sheet of ice, I am so ready for spring, I do love the winter and the snow but I am ready for spring. Time to get my bike out and start doing 10 miles a day, getting the winter fat worked off, planting flowers and vegi's.
Yes Sag, I am with you.

Should clean out the radiation as the, don't worry it's safe, radiation plume is due at the Pacific coast at the same time.
The Pacific west just may

all the radiation and not share none.
Stay tuned to the weather thread around Tuesday the 22nd.
