I live near one of those and before you ask, no... it can't flood my house.

However, years ago it flooded in winter and froze. After they plowed the road out I saw ice chunks as big and as thick as cars thrown off the road by thos big monster plows. Normally, that stream is a foot deep.

The national weather report shows a nice thick, slow moving dark green with yellows and reds cavalcade of radar colors inching across the eastern third of America. From the deep south to the rust belt and on to the Atlantic coast where -

NBC News reports the Passaic River is over flood stage. The area is that part of the Garden State nearest NYC.

Good thing Bob3 has a top floor apartment.

Its official, winter can leave, the snow can go now.

Actually this is the worst part of the year, the spring thaw. It freezes at night leaving this nice sheet of ice, I am so ready for spring, I do love the winter and the snow but I am ready for spring. Time to get my bike out and start doing 10 miles a day, getting the winter fat worked off, planting flowers and vegi's.

WE have a light rain due Friday/Saturday and a promised heavier rain Saturday/Sunday.

Should clean out the radiation as the, don't worry it's safe, radiation plume is due at the Pacific coast at the same time.

The Pacific west just may all the radiation and not share none.
