The only trouble I've had with electric fences are: 1. kids piss on them. 2. old geezers touch them to see if they are on.
Both of which are enormously funny to behold!

I didn't say you were, I said anyone who contemplates poisoning the food supply was. Of course I knew neither you nor Moi would seriously consider such an action. I'm sorry you thought I was serious.

You don't get out much do you? I have noticed you take life very serious, maybe you should study humor as we have all noticed you lack, you don't play well with others do you?
Now for the record since you see everything in black and white, I knew that my friend Moi would never ever harm a creature, ever, which is exactly why I told him to shoot or use poison. I know that this will be lost on you, so much for the hollowed halls. So tell us, have you ever been wrong? Once maybe?
I have been wrong on many occasions and about many people, but not on things I know about; rather I usually make mistakes estimating others' abilities to understand things like Latin grammar or irony.

PS I guess nobody told my Cat Rupert that red squirrels were not common, I guess that is not what he keeps bringing me.
Correct, unless he's in Europe or prowls the Cincinnati zoo, he is not bringing you red squirrels, Sciurus vulgaris. Regardless of their color, they are some other species. Moi's are definitely the Western Grey Squirrel; they are endemic in the west coast forests and woodlands; all other western species are largely confined to arid regions.

So humid last night, :shakemitk
I ran the A/C down to 64 F for the air quality and I did not feel cold.
Today is a crisp, clear, 70F day
with a cool breeze off the ocean.
Since it is obvious I will not get any tree ripened fruit off my front yard Royal Apricot and Mid Pride Peach,
I have picked some of the fruit that looks the ripest and put it in brown paper bags.
<sigh> I can only wonder how much better it might have been if "tree ripened"
And I do believe the squirrels have lifted all the iddy biddy avocados I had.

I had lots, the most ever !

We have been getting a much needed little rain, it comes in a down poor for about 10 minutes then bright and clear for an hour or so then repeat, its nice to live in an area where you get 250 inches of rain a year, its not a cold rain but nice to take a walk in and sing. As for fruit, the pineapples, mangos, avocados, oranges, lemon and limes are all in season year round.
Aloha

Our apricots are ripening just fine; the birds and squirrels are feasting on them and the figs. We have small snow pears on one tree; the bartlet pear has no signs of fruit yet. I expect it's going to be a bad year for pears. The persimmon tree has fruit, but no olives yet. The kumquat has ceased producing and the avocados are grape-sized.

68 F with a warm sun - - compensated with a cool fresh off the ocean breeze.
The front yard, east facing peach and apricot trees are finished fruiting while the west facing
back yard ones are just beginning. I cannot imagine how a few feet like that can put the trees
on such different schedules.
The Asparagus patch is a trip.
Planning to just let it go for a few years.
I think it would make great landscaping, and edible too.

Low to mid 70's, warmer inland.
Tomorrow the sun will set over Huntington Beach and begin its' southward journey toward Catalina Island.

yard peach trees are still blossoming and
have some fruit the biggest about the size of a prune.
The asparagus patch is a trip. It is tempting to "harvest" a spear but, I just let them go and do their thing.
Anyone got Summer Solstice plans.
Will the mainland feel the loss of its' resident pagan to Hawai'i ?
Anyone getting any of that deluge in the northern Midwest? What's gonna happen down river.

Is your water metered? the reason I ask is that all I here on the news of late is that California is in a major drouth. So how are you watering all those fruit trees that you keep talking about?
me, Pineapple, Hawaiian Pineapple is so sweet, OMG.

Deluge? I think so. I took a drive yesterday to the southwestern part of the state, most of the highways there were barely above water, many farms were flooded and there were signs up all over warning about failure of drinking water systems and sewage treatment plants. The temp on my ancient van's thermometer was showing mid 90's and, of course, very humid. It won't mean much to most of you but the Saint Paul gauge (Mississippi River) showed two feet above flood and is expected to reach six and one half feet above by Wednesday (all time record is about thirteen feet). Navigation has been stopped above Lake Pepin. Both Upper and Lower Saint Anthony locks are open in order to allow increased water flow. --FLO--

One mans drought is another mans flood. I know
but sometimes you must stop and smell the flowers, you know what I mean?
