Bill Bratton -- New York City Police Commissioner -- said on the news that of NYC's five boroughs only Manhattan is affected and then not that much of it. During this time there will be a football game and a baseball game and those will go one without change. Plus, he said that Heads of State visit the UN and Manhattan all the time, year after year, and this is nothing they aren't prepared to handle.

And listening Pope Francis' speech to the Joint Session of Congress, he was very much a pastor and showed a different and better path to take. Then he invited the audience to take that path. He didn't scold, or hector, or finger-wag. It was a philosophically deep but very gentle speech.

I really have fallen in love with that little Fiat he rides in (not the Popemobile that is used for parades). That Fiat is dwarfed by all the extra big, jumbo sized SUV's with the flashing lights and the blackened windows.

The we see this diminutive FIAT with the windows down, the Pope on one side, the light is one and you can see him.
