Bob may have moved out, to a local motel and they might not have internet but at least he would be warm.

"Oh, no", Mr. Bill.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_winter_weather
". . . Classes were called off and commutes were snarled from Tennessee to New England as cars and buses slipped and slid on highways. The New York area's airports, among the nation's busiest, saw hundreds of delayed or canceled flights. Pedestrians struggled across icy patches that were on their way to becoming deep drifts. . . ."

Oh and how is a blizzarded internet connection?

I think around my house got an inch of snow. I had a friend buy 100 pounds of salt for me and it's stored and waiting. Probably nothing more than that will fall.
The snowstorm went south of western PA and our little chunk of the Appalachian mountains.

Moi, you make much to much out of this, if the weather is really bad, we call it a snow day and enjoy it.

Re: Hey, Blizzard Members. Can You Get Online?
My NBC News claims a new improved Blizzard is going to affect many EA members next week.
From River and Kristoff lands, across to Mac and Dave, east to Ernie of Maine and Bobover 3, with any luck at all, down to Streetglide and inclusive of D.C. as to shut down the Federals ability to lend comfort and aid
to Egypt.

Out west we think of chilly as food, not weather

FLASH:
Bob3 of New Jersey reports by telephone that he has no electricity, no heat, no elevator to his top floor apartment. The "shelter" would require a taxi, "as if".
Send warm wishes to Bob3. He needs them. The warmest, toastiest ones you can spare.
Moi
I am so distressed I think I need to get into my hot tub to calm down.

Moi, Tell him to call FEMA.
OK that is not funny,
I do hope Bob is back up on line soon, I miss arguing with him.
In all seriousness Bob, hope your back up soon, its not fun being of the top floor of a building without electricity, it makes for a long walk if you need to get out.
Let us know asap that your back up, as I recall this is the second time this year.

Re: Hey, Blizzard Members. Can You Get Online?
Bob3 announced his return on other threads.
Only 24 hours in the freezing cold with a top floor apartment and no electricity. No online.
Luckily his stove is gas, the old fashion kind that requires no electricity.
Only 24 hours.
What Bob3 did not tell you is he is across the street from the richy, rich neighborhood and probably on the same trunk line. It is good to bathe in the conveniences awarded to the rich. Like first one with electricity.
We don't want the rich to suffer do we?
You know an ounce of suffering is so much more burdensome to the rich then regular folk.
In the spirit of National Capitalism, we take care of our rich.
