Now you must make sure your mouse has food and water and gets plenty of exercise on his little wheel. --FLO--

It's only 11:30 am and yet I feel I accomplished a lot today, for me.
* I washed a load of clothes.
* I packed up a bunch of clothes, baggage and tools belonging to Monty, my former garage resident, and carried them to the back yard.
* I called my doctor and asked for a renewal of my three medications: Trazadone, Glipzide and Paxil.
Do you realize that I needed a prescription from my doctor just to obtain more Diabetes test strips from Walgreens. Weird.
Lastly, but definitely not least, thanks to my friend Ken_SD, my mouse and keyboard are working again. Thank you Ken.

TORNADO WARNING for Southern California. No reports of damage except for a few cars flipped over. Lots of flooding near beach cities.
Still 40+ miles west of me.

Bet you would love to have Dorothy fall from the sky and land in your yard.

It rained, it rained!
I live on a hill with a view of the ocean a mile a way. But, my pad never drained right. Although I improved the drains last summer it was filling up with water these last two storms. When the water touches the house, I pull out the pump as the drains are clean and at capacity. The pump works.
No damage but, if I had not been home there might have been.
The builder is an architect/commercial contractor who lives next door.
I got his muscle at a reduced rate and plan a last, steep fall committed drain at the deepest part of the "rain lake".
More rain and news to follow.
And wind, such wind palm trees swaying at different frequencies in the distance.
How's Wisconsin? Anything?

The city shut off my water today because I was behind on the bill.
Anyone know of an agency I can call to get it reinstated till the first when I'll have the money to pay it?

Wolf, As I recall you are in the USA in a cold state. Most cold states have laws that prohibit turning off heat during winter months, and water is required for most heating systems.
In your county-level government listings do you have anything for Senior Services or the like, as they should be able to advocate for your water going back on with some kind of payment plan.
Good luck.

I received a call from Adult Protective Services, those same bastards who gave me hell when I was my mom's caregiver. They said they would send over a social worker to look into my needs now.
There's irony for ya.

Mac, I don't know how you do it.
I remember living in Mantica years ago we moved into the house my mother-e-law moved out of, we put the water in my name and paid the bill, three months later they shut it off because my mother-e-law had not paid her final bill. I did what I had to do, I turned it back on. They shut it off again and gave me hell for it, I called the Government, they raised hell with the city, my water remained off. BUT there is a silver lining, I also had a well, so I hooked the well which we used to water the trees and such to the house and kept right on trucking. After a couple weeks the City said I could not use my well for house water, I told them to get fucked. About that time they took me to court, where the judge asked the question why did you turn off his water? Later that day about 30 minutes later the water was turned back on the hose to the well was turned off, and everything was back to normal again. The cost for the bill. $8.90

My water was turned back on today.
I didn't miss bathing, doing the dishes, laundry etc. My dog was drinking rain water.
Only thing I missed was flushing the toilet...ugh
