The BLOOD MOON is out tonight.

I photographed a BLOOD MOON years ago but the film was B&W when pushed and never revealed the color. To photograph the moon you need a special lens and not a typical 35mm camera lens, even a 500mm tele doesn't cut it for the moon.

as to risen versus arisen -- dictionaries abound.

I remember back when I was in college and eating in the cafeteria one year at Easter, the cafeteria had an Easter Dinner and in the middle of the DAIS they had a fake ham that was glazed damn near pumpkin orange. I mean Hams are reddish orange in color but this was unappetizing. Not only that but on the ham they "wrote" like a birthday cake "He is Arisen" in cream cheese -- which was a valiant attempt at celebrating Easter but horrified the English department. We in the engineering departments just giggled. We were little bastards.

"Arisen" is to sit up or stand up.

"Risen" is to move to a higher position.

So the Blood Moon has arisen and is out to get me would be the correct form ?

Gracias

I got some great pictures of the moon, from the full moon to totally eclipsed then I went to bed, it was about 9:30 pm, as for humidity, it is always less at night the sun goes down and the heat from that humidity lessens, hence a clear sky except for the clouds that kept rolling through, window open breeze blowing great for sleeping.

Now the thing that I am still trying to get a handle on is that the sun comes up about 6 am and sets about 6:30 give or take. This means that you get up about 5 am and go to bed about 9:30 pm, unless your moi in which case you get up at noon and stay up half the night.

Hey, East of the Mississippi EA

Didn't you get the memo on "Global Warming".

"They" say you guys are freezing, with snow, record cold temperatures from Minnesota to the Atlantic coast.

Please report. Share. How Cold Is It?

The last couple of days have really been La La Land. 💤

I mean the air has a softness, the temperature so comfortable, one can nap so easily.

Today I noticed my Avocado tree has fruits too numerous to count. It may choose to sacrifice a few as my peach tree has some of its' numerous fruits.

The days are beginning to get irritatingly too long. I do prefer an earlier sunset.

Moi, never confuse the local weather with global warming, also the comment sounds political so don't do it again.

Every time you put an apostrophe in the word "its" - the possessive form of the neuter pronoun - God kills a kitten.

The weather is warm, the birds are building nests, the bunnies are eating the flowers, and spring has arrived. . .

Here it my favorite song of the season: Tom Lehrer and "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park"

a fun ode, a cute ditty, a weekend pastime - - it just takes a smidgen, you know
