Well, I was right, Wells Fargo screwed me. This month I received my normal $900 check. I paid $40 for water & trash, $180 for Electricity, $256 for TimeWarner (TV, Internet and phone for 2 months) $55 for gas.

That should have left me with about $120 left for food. Last month I wrote three checks for $28 total. They must have overdrawn me. Wells Fargo says my balance is -$300

I will call them tomorrow saying I have no food income if they charge me $300 in overdraft fees. I might beg, plead, scream, curse and go ballistic too.

Mac, change to a community bank straight away.

I had a million problems with every bank I was ever associated with.

About 15 years ago, I joined a CREDIT UNION. I have not had one problem since.

If I haven't been there in 6 months (do to direct deposits & MAC machines), when I do walk in, I am still address with a "Hi Jim, How are you?"

Credit Unions are the best kept secrets in the world. Name it, they've got it.

Switching from one bank to another just doesn't do it. You're going to have the same type problems at the new bank. THINK CREDIT UNIONS...If you need additional pointers, let me know. Good luck with it.

Change your bank.

What happened is that one bill pushed you into "overdraft" and then lovely, greedy-assed and ever-spiteful pile-of-shit Wells Fargo restructured all of your checks so that they could charge the maximum overdraft fees.

With friends like that, who needs enemies.

A friend new to the banking industry said they clear the largest checks first so multiple small ones will bounce. This will yield more overdraft fees.

That happened to me once with Wells Fargo. Instead of one overdraft fee, had they not posted the biggest check first, they hit me with four. I talked them down to two. It was still a ripoff.
