I've seen rabbits in my back yard eating the higher weeds and they are like little machines... break it off at the base and then nibble it down the stalk until it disappears then go to the next stalk, repeat, ad infinitum with a tiny trail of bunny pellets being left behind.

It's tougher to watch when they are in your garden.

Some observations on the Papal visit:

My Aunt lived in New York and lived at 42nd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. That is across 1st avenue from the United Nations. The Pope will speak at the opening of the UN. World leaders will speak at the opening of the UN.

RIGHT NOW IN NYC - every mailbox within ten blocks of the path or diplomats and Pope Francis are being picked up. Every drop box, every newspaper holder, every garbage bin, anything on the streets that might conceal anything is being removed. The drunks and vagrants are being removed and relocated, too. No Sleeping in doorways or on grates. All hot dog carts are being removed, all food trucks, And then, as My Aunt used to say, the authorities will simply shut down the streets and let the motorcades move without anyone else on the road.

The Pope will also do an event in Central Park which simply amazes me because Central Park is blocks and blocks and blocks big.

This is part of NYC's operating budget to provide security for the United Nations.
