The view that different people will have different results from similar experiences is, as best I can tell, entirely "normal."

A bilateral orchiectomy is not a certain guarantee of not having erections and/or orgasms. So my experience informs me. It does, however, tend make most such biological phenomena much more of the realm of choice than happens with "raging testosterone."

In "being with my wife" (a phrase I politely decline to precisely define), my subjective erection/orgasm experience was not notably altered by the orchiectomy.

However, I am no longer automatically driven by testosterone to hot pursuit of being "with" her when that is other than what she is seeking from me.

That which improves a person's experience of being alive, I favor and even endorse. That which damages a person's experience of being alive, I tend to reject within my own life, and I fully accept and welcome people, and being with people, who do much the same, each in one's one way.

I had made the decision to be content with whatever result came from my orchiectomy. I had studied too much about biology to hold any other decision to be realistic and decent.

There is that oft' quoted saying in the movie, Forest Gump:

"My momma always said, 'Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.' "

It's not even three weeks since my orchiectomy, but I can tell you that at the current time, erections are still entirely possible, and orgasm can still occur. Different orgasms, dry, but still a physical climax. How this plays out in the near future, I'll just wait and see.

Removing the testicles won't entirely stop the penis from filling with blood. That's an erection - partial or rock hard.

Erections aren't always due to testosterone, they are due to increased blood flow in the penis that can't flow out and Viagra works without testosterone by relaxing the muscles that let blood flow out of the penis.

Removing your testicles will reduce or eliminate the testosterone fueled desires and cravings and urges for sex and sexual arousal. However, the penis can still get engorged and erect, just not romantically or passionately so engorged. It won't be accompanied by the urge to merge or the urge to whip your weenie out and flog it immediately, uncontrollably. It will just be larger and thicker and then it will go away.

I believe that if one is on HRT that one can get erections, even if surgically castrated. It is when one is not on HRT that erections increasingly become more difficult to have, when one's testosterone level is at an extremely low level, lower than when one no longer has the desire for sex.

For me, erections ( in night, in morning, or attempted) are few and far between. But it is not erections that are my main concern. It is the erotic, sexotic, drive that nature pumps into me that is gone. It is a feeling that I am in control of me, not nature's sex drive. Erections happen. the upwelling of sexual urges and feelings is normally non-existent, or when it does rear its ugly head, is minimal. THAT has been the grand success of injecting alcohol into my testicles. I can only presume that it is not as perfect as surgical castration. But I know for a personal fact, it is better than doing nothing. Not perfect, but good. In an ordinary world 80% of the objective is satisfactory. So, I am not elated, alcohol injections is not perfection, but better than nothing.

I have to agree with Chris it is not perfect but it's better than nothing. I m doing this because of a deep need to be in control of my own mind and libido. I planned a hold of a few more days before I inject again, mainly because I want to see if there's any changes in the structure of my testicles. I do know that I appreciate all the feedback I have received from members of the archive. Once again I thank you all for your support.

I pretty much agree with what Chis had to say. Erections are minimal, and only early in the morning

My left nut doesn't seem to accept alcohol anymore.

Just managed to inject some drops. it is hard and hard to insert the needle. As read on this forum, I conclude i'm nearly done with it.

My right accepted 1cc today. Cheers Always the same sensation in my low belly and my groin.

It hurts as hell for 1 hour.

I'm just hoping it won't take long till I experience hot flashes, as it would tell me my T has dropped enough.

If you were first using androcur before transitioning to the injections, as I did, you may not experience the hot flashes again as your system has already adapted to having lower testosterone. That was my experience anyway. Maybe others have had other experiences that they can share.

Same here, Androcur before injections (and even after.) No hot flashes whatsoever after my orchiectomy three weeks ago. The worst one I experienced was the very first night I injected.
