Thank you! It's like the doctors are in denial or too afraid to disappoint us with "bad" news when our testicles are hard and lumpy. I plan on buying another bottle of Everclear and a pack of needles when I get my SSI next week. I haven't did any injections since March 31st, and I'm actually pretty excited about doing testicular injections again. Pretty nervous about it too though. My primary care doctor keeps saying that I might be subjective about how hard my testicles are. 🙄 Anyway, you have a nice day, Soontobe!

However, it's not right to abruptly pass judgement upon someone, especially when you know only a minute bit of who they are, what they've been through, and what they have done for others. I post updates of my progress for others to learn from it and to get more info. After all, isn't this thread about sharing your experiences with others?

Hey Nullorchis,

If I seemed too defensive towards you with this comment, then I apologize.:)

Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced spontaneous tightness of their scrotum, like to the point of soreness and discomfort? I think it has to do with testicular damage, but I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this after castration/injections and do they know why it happens.

I wonder how small do testicle have to get to have them seriously consider removing them. After over 20 injections of Everclear, mine went from golf ball size to firm numb olives. I am overdue for my next physical -- it will be interesting what my MD says.

Hi DonnyMac,

Congratulations on your injections. Also, if your testicles are the size of olives (I'm guessing you mean the green olives in the jar you'd buy at the grocery store), you might concern quite a few doctors, depending on their views on average testicle size. If you told them and they believed that your testicles were once golfball-sized, then they'll definitely consider you hypogonadic or afunctional gonadic.

It may help to give answers that make him think of low testosterone when he asks some general questions. Mention lowered energy and lessened sexual interest/ability in the early part of the interview so that when he "discovers" your shrunken testicles, he can feel like he put the puzzle together.

You're still not going to be able to convince him/her to remove them just because they've gotten smaller. You're going to have be patient somewhat longer. I think your doctor will analyze your condition, recommend blood tests, ultrasound, and possibly recommendations to see a specialist, urologist. They might even do a biopsy. If you see a urologist and your testicles are determined to still be alive, though atrophied, he might recommend HCG injections to plump up your testicles. If you refuse these injections, you'll have to have a pretty good excuse or they might become suspicious, not that that matters.

Eventually, when and if it's determined that your testicles are "dead," then you should ask for them to be removed. There is a possibility of them becoming cancerous and you should use this fact to press your doctor/urologist to take them out. It might take you another six (6) months before they're convinced that your testicles should be removed. But try to take everything in stride. I kind of enjoyed the process. I enjoyed the nurses feeling sorry for me, I enjoyed the ultrasounds, I had two, both performed by women. I had an ultrasound after castration and before my scrotum was removed, my scrotum was swollen and my doctor recommended it. I'll never forget what this female technician said after a few passes of the ultrasound wand, "You don't have any balls, I mean testicles!"

Hash, thank you for posting a link back to the PropeciaHelp.com forums. I hadn't read their site since posting a link earlier this year about the 5-alpha reductase / endocrine crash problem reported by many men using Proscar and Propecia. I see that Merck has finally acknowledged the serious side-effects experienced by users and updated their documents.

Obviously, I'm not personally affected by this 🙄 but I'm happy for the men who took this drug for BPH or MPB and were negatively affected even after stopping the drug. It's a big problem for THEM, and they deserve to be compensated for their difficulties.

Whether someone wants their testicles working, or they want them gone, nobody in either group should have to endure a lifetime of discomfort.

Hi everyone,

I just stumbled upon this study on Google:

If this is true, then good news for MTF trans-women.:D

Luckily my MD knew and supported my using Depo-Provera. So, my lowered testosterone and smaller testicles will not be a surprise to her. Was on chemical castration meds from January '06 until after the 10th testicle alcohol injection last year. I continued until more than 20 injections just make sure. Plus some "booster" shots every few months for extra measure.

I am guessing it is healthier to have them removed at this stage. Considering additional injections to make their decision easier.

Thanks for the imput.
