Size doesn't really matter to a castrated man but for a sexually active man it does.

Paring,
A half inch lost to circumcision. That s a significant amount in percentage terms of the entire penis. It makes you wonder how that impacts erections and life long penis blood circulation and health ? That can t be healthy for the penis or erection abilities.
Stephaniesteve1, losing an inch of erect length to a tight circumcision is again a significant percentage of total length and size reduction of an already mature and larger uncut penis. A tight circ before puberty might force a smaller penis growth if it can reverse size in a mature and larger penis to shrink. I m surprised that castration didn t cause more than a 25% size reduction unless you had some artificial T to remain able to have erections after your castration. Erections seem to be necessary to avoid penis atrophy and major shrinkage.
Your posts are reason enough for parents and men to avoid circs if they want to grow maximum sized penises to enjoy in sex and preserve maximum erection health.

Hello, I am wondering how true it is that circ makes a penis shorter. If the foreskin is just removed, it should have no effect unless there is a long tapering tip of foreskin at the very end (does that even have a name?!), if which case the "shortening" is illusory as the length of the actual organ is the same.
I am also not sure about a very tight circ affecting penile growth, as skin stretches to accommodate. Just think of skin stretch marks on obese people or pregnant women.
I know this issue is a favorite of the dedicated anti-circ sites, but not sure if there's any actual evidence it's true. I guess you need older males to report measurements pre and post circ to see if there's any change at all.

Traditionally foreskin was pull up front of the glans to be cut off but modern circumcision devices, like Gomco or tara clamp, were created to remove a maximum of skin including shaft skin. The skin is pull tight and cut off behind the glans. In my case I lost more than 85% of my penile skin. With so much skin removed, the glans will rest close to the pube most of the time and therefore prevent normal development of the penis. When a boy is due by nature to have a smaller penis and gets a tight circumcision, his penis might end up 1 inch shorter than expected by nature. Which will make his life miserable because chances are that he'll be rejected by his sexual partners and therefore he'll develop an inferiority syndrome.
There are reasons nature provided men with a foreskin. First it's to allow free penile extension during erections. Second, is to protect the glans, just like eye lid protect the eye balls. Third, it give men better sensations while coupling. Foreskin is more sensitive than the gland itself. For SRS, surgeons use the penile skin to create a new vagina the more skin there is available the deeper the vagina will be. Plus that extra sensitive foreskin will improve her sensations too.

I know what you mean. Having had RIC in the late 60's, I have the same issue with the few and far between erections. The scrotum extends about halfway up the shaft. Makes for a nice, hairy, and really unattractive erection unless totally shaved. I do have a frenum, but oddly enough, it's not very sensitive?

Here s dumb question from me, how do you know if you have a naturally hairy penis shaft or if you got infant circumcised so tight that it pulled some of your scrotum up onto your penis shaft ?
If you got circed that tight, it would shorten your scrotum and how low your balls hang. And it would make it tougher to grow to your maximum erect penis dimensions at puberty. Fucked over in 2 ways.

I have always had hair further up my dick than I like before and after circumcised at 33.

Sparkey49,
That s a perfect answer in proving some men are hairy up their shafts even if they are uncircumcised. The uncircumcised men can answer this question the best, or men that got circed after puberty who know how much was cut off and what shaft hair they had before getting circed.
Infant circed men can t tell how much some dr cranked up and pulled on their foreskins when they got circed. So its tough to know how big a slab of skin got cut off as infants.
