I sit to pee whenever I can. Out in public, I’ll use the urinal if it has dividers for some privacy. Even then, it’s not a pleasant experience—-I have to stand so close to the filthy urinal to make sure the pee doesn’t splatter all over the floor and my shoes. I’ve got the whole process down tho.

I'll tell you a story about filthy bathrooms. Long ago, many lifetimes ago (he he), I used to be a janitor for a JC Penny store. I would go in early before the store opened to clean. The bathrooms were the worse part of the job. One day I walked into the womens rest room and was appalled by what awaited me in there. There was a pile of brown "you know what" in the corner of the room. Someone backed their ass up against the corner and took a dump. The floors and walls half way up were tiled with a light pink ceramic tile. So it wasn't that hard to clean and sanitize, but my god I hated doing it. I had to fight the gag reflex all the way through it. Some people don't deserve to be living in a civilized world.

I remember one time the ladies' loo in Foyle's (a bookshop in London which at that time also had a cafe in a record store on the first floor) was closed and so everyone was using the men's cubicle (they were both single cubicles), and I went in and found blood on the seat. I went to the counter in the cafe and told the lady behind the counter and she said, "well, maybe a woman used it". Yeah, you don't say. I'm sure she didn't like sitting in anyone else's period either.

I always sit to pee and all too often there's urine on the seat, whether in a men's or a mixed single cubicle. I don't care whose pee it is; I've heard that it could be from women who hover rather than from men who don't put the seat up and spray when they pee. I just wish people would clean up after themselves. If everyone just sat, and put the lid down before they flushed the toilet, this would not happen.

In regards to your father I think the issue is that he hasn't any understanding of the process. I imagine he thinks its just a chopping block and some lipstick. If there was a way to explain the entire process from a-z maybe he would understand its a lot more m2f then hacking off the penis. The part where its explained that its not a mental health disorder. At least not now. That there are things like hormone changes and that you would be going through female puberty.

I think every family has some initial shock and maybe un-understanding horror when someone comes out as Transgender or gay or whatever. Then they realize that they are not suddenly going to be someone else. That they are who they always were just comforming to the correct brain (With TS folks) And probably gay or lesbian people but I don't know much on that topic. Oh! And do talk about how m2f brains can be scanned and show female structures before anything like hormones are started. And maybe thats the most important part. Its a medical problem its not you being "crazy"

I almost always sit to pee. It started a few years ago when I had minor bladder surgery. The meatus got slightly damaged and didn't heal neatly. As a result, if I don't have a super strong flow, I'm spraying everywhere! More recently though, I sit in anticipation of my reroute. One I have that, I'll always be sitting and I'll be quite happy about it!

Growing up as the only male in an otherwise all-female [mother, grandmother, two sisters] household, i was taught early to sit when i had to pee. I still sit when i pee whenever and wherever i can. Because my penis is unnaturally small, i not only have a difficult time finding it in the maze of my pants and underwear, but i really have to tug on it to stretch it out enough to where i don't get pee on myself. It is just so much easier to sit. And healthier, i think; my bladder tends to empty more completely when i sit, whereas pee always seems to be running down my leg after i do it standing up. Perhaps most importantly, i feel a lot more feminine when i sit.

If houses, then sitting. For the eunuch with the shortened urethra in the public place standing, when there is no cabin - a big problem. I always try to avoid such a situation by doing "reconnaissance" . If cabins are available, then completely I do not sit down not to concern a toilet bowl seat.

I stand to pee, I seem to not be able to fully empty my bladder when sitting.
