I appreciate what you're trying to do here, but what I was hoping for was essentially a ... minimally-subjective diary of how healing went. What I'd wish for would be 32 case studies with (at least) daily photos, ultrasounds, MRIs, and questions about pain level. Why 32? That's about the threshold for reaching statistical significance (for a universe of an infinite population, if you're willing to accept rather a lot of uncertainty) and the detection of outliers. (I believe that statistical test can only ever conclusively identify one outlier per dataset, however) IE, what can you actually expect during your recovery, how fast you'll heal...

Our members' reports are so widely varied, and yet so few, that it's more a case of hoping for the best, rather than knowing what to actually expect.

If someone has academic papers with significantly the same information presented in the form of text, that would be quite adequate to sate my curiosity (and perhaps, to help make real plans). Wank pics provided by the happy, healthy, healed, and horny are easy, but it's the intermediate stages that are informative.

Did I make sense? (And does such a detailed patient information packet exist?)

Jared - So how are you doing a few years later? Would love to hear an update. Did you ever consider (or do) more procedures? BTW, I've looked at your pictures often. Thanks again for sharing!

Wow, everyone is different when it comes to pain tolerance and I think the skill of the surgeon plays a role in how bad the post pain can be. I experienced very little after my bilateral orchi but the itching at the suture line (trans scrotal) was irritating for about a week. I was up and about the evening after surgery and back to work the next day. Sometimes I'd feel a "twitch" where the cords were cut but otherwise is was about the same for me as a visit to the dentist.

I was castrated in 2015 and in all honesty I never experienced real pain afterwards, just discomfort. Never took any paracetamol or anything...
