HEY! Better watch it around those poles, my friend.
Transward.
I know what you mean. Where I live we had the flood of 1959. There are still bridges that were never replaced. Those were the days before FEMA and government help was 'sketchy' to say the least.
My point is that no matter how bad that it gets, it could always be worse... and no, we should not ever ask the question, HOW?

Looks like it is time to build an Ark

. Is it a good thing that I live in a city, that is only about 3 meters above the sea level in it's center?
On the weather side of the things... looks like 3 dry weeks ended. It was good (and unusual for that month) while it lasted... Time to prepare an umbrella again.

The solid gray of yesterday has yielded to patchy clouds today with cool, but not sweater requiring fresh air. That Autumn scent is still missing although the rest of the "feel" is there.
From my 142' elevation above the threatening ocean a mile away, there is just a minimal increase in mist.
Some corn is ripening in my garden box and the healthiest brown rats you ever saw feed in my bird feeder. OFBK watches their access hole in the fence on occasion.
I planted 2 new peach trees of the yellow, freestone variety having enjoyed my white, Babcock peaches to much. The new trees are about 8'. One 24 gallon and one 15 gallon.
Autumn is my favorite season. It always has been.
YEA AUTUMN
The feel good season.

Hey, at 65 I'm in the Autumn of my life

Point well-taken...
Well, citizen's a-ray-est is NOT political... It is comical IT was a sunny day in Mayberry when Barney made a U-Turn and was it Gomer or Goober ran after the squad car hollering "citizen's a-ray-est".
It is like that here, today. Sunny, cool, like a Fall day, and Fall came yesterday afternoon. IT is sunny out and all seems well with the world.
It is the NEW Archive where Politics is dead but we are all still alive... and kicking. So hold on just a little tighter now, baby. Just like the song...
