Good news - Arlington National Cemetary said they would accept my mother free of charge because my father was a combat veteran of WWII.
Bad news - I told the funeral home which is holding mom's body
what I found out and they said they would ship her after "fees" were paid. They want $1,460 to ship her over PLUS cost of a casket.
Somehow it doesn't look like mom will be interred anytime soon![]()
Perhaps there is a local military cemetery?
Not sure, but as I recall my grandmom was provided a casket, as was Grandad, by the Army. Do they still do that?
