I was offline for 35 hours because the batteries in my keyboard died screaming. When I obtained the cordless mouse and keyboard, I went out and bought packs of AA batteries that fit the mouse and the TV remote.
I forgot the keyboard uses AAA.
All better now.
P.S. Yay, it's payday and I have food.
Thought mice eat cheese not batteries.

Hospital just called: they wanted my permission to transport Mom to Kindred Hospital instead of back to the nursing home and I said "yes."
Kindred specializes in temporary care for the aged.

It's raining sheep and wolves so I chose to stay home rather than get soaked. Besides, wet wolf hair.....you know.

I have a love/hate relationship with Time Warner Cable:
To keep connected to the internet, I had to shell out $156.00 to cover a back due balance. That's $156 out of my $538.00 monthly.
That SUCKS

I have love/hate feelings for all cable providers - minus the love. --FLO--

I used to work for the local cable company. They all suck, and they're all a bunch of thieves. I made a crap-ton of money working there, hourly+commission.. and got free cable/internet to boot. Wasn't worth it. I hated lying to people, and I entirely too much of a concience to have kept working there.

I believe ya Daughter
I found out today that the same redundancy that once existed in the railroad industry exists within Time Warner Cable.
I've always had three TV's and three cable boxes. Now that I'm less rich than I was before, I called Cable to come pick up two of the boxes as I only need one and it will save me $16.00 a month.
Featherbedding came to mind today as it took two Time Warner cable guys to pickup two cable boxES. I never realized they were "that" heavy.
Now I know why Time Warner charges so much.

The local cable company came through here laying cable this summer. Wrecked everyone's front yards. It's still a mess. I had spools and equipment parked in my yard all labor day weekend. I even harassed the cops, to no avail. Apparently, I can't piss enough to ruin a diesel motor, either...but I tried! I'm sure someone wasn't happy about the dog shit in his seat, either...
What gets me is they haven't even tried to market it. No calls, no ads, no nothing. No one wants it here anyway. No one is interested. They all got dish like 20 years ago. Why did they bring it out here? For one employee who bought a house out here. Soon as I find out who, she's going to get an arsonist calling at 2am, too. Soon as I kidnap her cats and dig up her flower gardens.
As for me, all television stations could cease tomorrow and I wouldn't be bothered. I don't watch TV. I no longer go to movies either, unless someone else pays. I did rent 1 DVD last month. The rest, I "rented" online. All 140 of them.

I just listed a few short reasons why everyone needs to call Paolo when they have problems with utility companies
