I would preferr prozac over celexa I just happened to have a script with 5 refills left on celexa and didnt want to hassle with doc. I have never had a problem coming off of them after 6 months or so. The only thing I don't like about the celexa is that it makes you yawn alot. You are right Don, I probably should see a shrink about sexual compulsion but I don't see it happening for multiple reasons. 1st of all, I don't want it on my health records that I have ever recieved psych care. It affects life insurance and health insurance if you ever have to buy your own policy. I'm also pretty sure that there is nothing a shrink could do anyway short of more prozac. And prozac/celexa is cheap. 4$ at walmart.

Like I said a few posts ago, I took a DP injection 3 days ago and had taken 1 a week before that. I can tell that the booster shot has helped because it almost feels like my penis is numb. I started taking the celexa on saturday but not sure how long it will take to feel any effects from that.
I seem to feel better with the higher level of DP in my system. Maybe because the body confuses it with T??? It will be interesting to see if mr. happy still works when my wife comes home from vacation with family in Seattle. I'll find out next weekend!

actually that's exactly how it works, it displaces T in your body and slowly shuts down production. It binds easier with the hormone receptors than T, so it will replace it on the cells that require a sex hormone, to a different effect than testosterone, of course. T is one of the most powerful hormones yet the easiest to displace, a kinda irony.

BTW, if you've been prescribed celexa or most any other antidepressant, the damage is done, you already have ICD9 309.28, 311.*, 296.3*, V79.0*, or 300.4* on your record and counseling will make no difference, if you can get a councilor to pronounce "remission" it will actually help. Wallmart is part of the "system" and reports on the insurance networks.

As many people know, I work during the week in the houston area but live in the Dallas area. It work s out OK since I can stay with my mom during the week. I was comming down with a chest cold on thursday and was going to have to work late on friday so my wife suggested that her and the kids just go to moms for weekend. Since my wife has this thing about not having sex at my moms house, I didn't get a chance to see if it would work. I was kind of relieved to just be able to lay with her without pressure to perform. I guess next week will be interesting since it will be 3 weeks since we had sex.

Last weekend with the wife was pretty good. Didn't have any problem getting up or off. I did fall asleep before wife on saturday night and missed a chance for some fun but I made up for it on sunday night. I have to say I enjoy my libido being lower, but it still isn't as low as I'd like it. I have had more issues with getting to hot in bed which makes it hard to cuddle. Any skin to skin (even my own) contact seems to mak me start sweating at the contact point. I've had some night sweats too but nothing that could be caled a true "hot flash". I keep waking up at night either too hot or cold and it is getting to be bothersome.
I have one dose of DP left in my stash which I'm sure I'll use, just not sure when. I can't currently justify the expense of these drugs until my wife's income is up and stable again. Hopefully, that will happen in the next 30-40 days.

Ramses, you might want to take that final shot and then allow yourself to come back up. See how you feel post chems and see which mode you feel better in. DP is so slow though it will take a while before your "level" again. Perhaps next time you might want to try androcur or something stong like that, or a combanation with proscar and andocur for full shutdown.
BTW, have you kept track of testicular volume? any change?

I never measured testicular volume but I think they did decrease in volume slightly. Will keep progress or changes posted to this thread.

Hi Ramses,
It's interesting to hear you describing your uncomfortable nights due to being too hot. I had that big time when I tried androcur early last year. I wasn't getting hot flushes during the day, but I was generating more heat and needing fewer clothes. At night though my legs and feet in particular felt like they were burning up, even though I'd changed to a lightweight summer duvet. Some of the eunuchs here say that the hot flushes become less of a problem after a year or two post castration. But that's a long time to wait if it's really getting you down.
Best of luck with all this
