has the itchy under arms gone away?
con grats and good luck on your journey
That issue went away a long time away, essentially with the disappearance of most of my body hair.

It has been about 1.5 years since visiting the EA web site. Other than starting HRT about 2 years ago, nothing else has changed. I do still travel a lot, and am beginning a 2.5 month cruise in some very remote parts of the world.
The reason for the HRT is that doctors have scared me about the ramifications of not having T in my system. Among the problems identified are reduced energy and greater susceptibility to bone decay and osteoporosis issues. Initially I used derma patches, but those did not work, with T levels only going up to about 50. Have been using derma gel, and current T readings are about 550 to 600. Sure glad I have prescription insurance because those gel packs are extremely expensive. Body hair has returned (except for the top of my head).
Take care.

Six plus years and counting.
And several more months without checking in here on EA, but I have been traveling extensively. [Have checked off several exotic places that were on my "bucket list", such as Burma (Myanmar), etc.] Also have a special lady friend in my life now, and she is aware of my "situation" and is okay with it. We definitely enjoy each others company.
No changes in HRT, and sometimes wonder if it is the right thing to do for me. Don't really like the return of body hair. Would rather prefer to have hair return to the top of my head, but then I think genetically speaking that isn't in the cards for me.
I do find myself much more at peace with myself and enjoying life. I guess that means I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.
Wishing all EA members/viewers all the best. I'll continue to check in once in a while, but don't expect to count me as a regular participant. Nothing against the EA, as it has been a tremendous source of information and support. I just have higher priorities right now.
Ciao.

Well, here it is yet another year+ later. My special lady friend and I were married in April. Life [as a eunuch] is wonderful. We continue our travels to foreign lands, and will be in Spain and North Africa next month.
Still continue the HRT thing, although I sometimes skip a treatment. The stuff is very expensive. Doctors tell me to continue because of the risk of osteoporosis going way up in my case. Oh well.
One other big change in my life is that I have reduced my weight about 65 pounds. Had to buy new clothes, etc. I feel so much better and have more energy.
Not sure my mind is as sharp and clear as in the past, but when one gets to my age, then I guess it is somewhat to be expected. My sister calls it "OPD" -- old peoples disease.
All the best to you.

It's so nice to see this follow-up.
I see you do take care. Very nice to see.
Take care, indeed.

BudleyBare, How did you lose the weight?
The substantial weight loss was based on lap band bariatric surgery (September 2012). I did it not for weight loss but because it is shown to dramatically reduce problems from diabetes, which hideously and relentlessly attacks many bodily organs.
I was almost immediately taken off all meds related to diabetes, AND hypertension, which was a pleasant add-on surprise for me. Continuing but now less frequent measurements of my blood sugar levels confirms the return to normal blood sugar levels. The weight loss thing has given me more energy, less mobility problems, etc.
And so here I am now eight years as a eunuch and happier and healthier than I have been in decades. Life is good, as I think it is intended for us.
I continue not to check in here on this forum very often, but do have positive thoughts about those of us experiencing life less testicles, and in my case dramatically lower T levels. [I still do the HRT thing, but at about 1/3 the recommended dosage.] On the other hand, I routinely follow Tugon's postings, having met him and a few others in person many years ago at a gathering in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Congratulations to Tugon on your new life.
Wishing you all the best.

Thanks Budley and cheers to your better health. I hope you are still enjoying your travels and adventures. I hope one day to meet again at a MoM or when we both might be on the road somewhere.
