Moi, why would you need two years to get a show going? Babylon 5 was going episode 1, SG1 same story, StarTrek and the spins, Dr Who, "V" the original series, I understand the rewrite is just as good, as much as I hated battleship Gaggulia both times, it still got going first night Terra Nova and Revolution were both DOA. Even the now series that nobody watched but has a great following Firefly every episode was good, remember Farscape, even OZ knows how to do SciFi but not Hollywood, No moi, 2 years is way to much pain to endure it should pop pop pop right out of the box, (thinking of Ruby Rhod).

The original Star Trek was cancelled, then renewed thanks to protest at NBC studios in beautiful downtown Burbank, that included students from JPL - an unheard of thing at the time,

then cancelled and renewed on a different network, likewise a first and has it happened again, for its' third and final year.

It took twenty years for all the Star Trek kids to "grow up, take control, and make more Star Treks."

Terra Nova could have gained traction, like where did that boats bow sculpture come from . . .

Revolution is unable to get above, mildly sucky. Although I have hope. Only hope.

I tried. I really, really tried.

I didn't have the heart to come over here and say anything. I felt bad. I've been beating MOI up in the political boards and I didn't want to come over here and crap all over REVOLUTION but it's just like the actors are walking through the parts. The delivery of the lines is almost emotionless thanks to the way the scenes are cut and filmed. That scene between the two women in the library didn't hold together.

The flashbacks to some strange betrayal in the past made my head spin and then the fight was so predictable. The death was so overdone and same-old, same-old. I think Milton Berle died better in his less serious moments. Topo Gigio ponce pretended to die on Ed Sullivan and that was better acted (sorry, I'm getting carried away.

Serious plot problem:

Now let me ask this -- the women want to turn on the power.

The President or Monroe (I can't remember who) wants to set off a nuclear weapon using an amulet to provide local power but if the nannites are turned off, then the power comes on and the nuclear weapon goes boom anyway.

Is this called serious non-communication between the friends and enemies?

And if the nannites go away, all the cancer comes back and people die? What's that all about? THe nannites as a cure for cancer AND Twitter AND Testing?

I agree with MOI - this is a lost opportunity to tell what could be a good story.

Vindicated, yes I feel vindicated as I said this show was trash after the first episode I am glad Moi finally after 15 shows finally is seeing what I saw after one show.

Back in my day, we got 3 channels; 4 if you were lucky and the weather was right.

Specifically written for Barbara Bain and Martin Landau ... Weird and strange episodes are all I remember.

Either SPace 1999 was inspired by Blake's 7 from Britain or it inspired Blake's 7. Now that was a show for 12 year old boys.

I don't remember which came first.

The network was desperate to keep Bain and Landau on the air after Mission Impossible went away. Either that, or Bain and Landau demanded too much money and the network trashed MI as too expensive. MI had some thought to its scripts but I think the ensemble aspects of it scared the network. IT got a little corny too. And it suffered from the trained monkey with the hypo filled with drugs as a murder weapon...

TV was more blatantly egotistical back then.
