The first CD's didn't hit stores here until 1985, when Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" became the first big-selling album on CD.

And I used to just adore St. Elsewhere.

This is what Wikipedia says about CDs:

A Compact Disc (also known as a CD) is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was originally developed to store sound recordings exclusively, but later it also allowed the preservation of other types of data. Audio CDs have been commercially available since October 1982.

Early the following year on March 2, 1983 CD players and discs (16 titles from CBS Records) were released in the United States and other markets.

I also loved St. Elsewhere but I suspect that I would not like it as much if I watched it now.

Ben watched the St. Elsewhere episode in the Summer. The first episode was shown on 26 Oct 82. The earliest the story could have taken place was the Summer of 1983. CDs were available then but they could have been so rare that Ben didn't know about them.

Thoughts on the latest chapter? Can't say we didn't see this one coming!

At least our hero is still 'home' and not finding a new one. Ouch...

All true. However, there is a foreshadow of future things in Ch. 20, especially involving Scott, er, Jimmy.

Very good story

So, we know that Landen will be alive for ten more years.

Considering the 1st chapter, he's still alive to be writing it.

I was expecting where it went, though.

"The Mummy Goes Bye-Bye..."!

I haven't hear any more from Anon., but if I do, I'll post it.

It's an excellent read.

One of the best written stories in quite some time!

If these things would happen in reality I would still advocate the most extreme punishment of all members of Mr. Poore's cercle of "friends"

But as a fantasy....

Exactly!

As our author emailed, it was a fantasy, nothing more.

You know, it's really uncommon for me to encounter an online fiction that's actually written and developed well enough for me to want to read it solely for the content. I'm really grabbed by this story, despite what little it has to do with my personal interests. I really appreciate how well thought out and planned everything is so far; It's quite an enjoyable read :D

The latest installment is posted, and still has ~2k followers.

Let's just say that our hero doesn't like the sight of blood!
