Feed stores carry syringes and needles, and you can mail order them from online farm supply outlets, also your local pharmacy should have them unless you live in a area that you need a RX.

Don't go the vet syringe route. With a little searching you can find syringes and needles easily. I used 3 ml syringes with a 25 gauge needle 5/8 or 1 inch long. These are smaller diameter needles than you'd probably find at farm supply places. Which would you rather poke in your balls? Cost is about $18 for 100. Try Allegro Medical.

Your doctor must have done just a needle biopsy. My urologist did a surgical biopsy on me ...

That is quite similar to what happened to me. My advice is: Be patient! It takes some time for the testes to react. If you run to early, the surgeon may not remove them.

Regarding the injection of ethyl alcohol into the testes, it is always a good practice to withdraw the plunger of the syringe slightly, to check to see if the needle is in a blood vessel. If you get a flashback into the syringe of red blood, you are in a small vein or artery and need to withdraw the needle from the testicle and try another injection site. Injecting the ethyl alcohol into the tissue is what is desired, not into the circulation. This applies to any injection of medications, from insulin to influenze vaccines. It's an easy safety measure and is a normal recommended practice by medical professionals who give medications via injection.

For pure alcohol sources take a look at Wikipedia entry for

"Neutral Grain Spirit". There are three brands of almost pure over the counter sources available in some U.S. states - Everclear, Golden Grain Alcohol, and Gem Clear. The article also has some information on foreign availability.

The previous posting should be heeded by anyone who does not have training or experience with injections. If you have any doubts about safely injecting yourself then please ask someone who knows how.

Went to my doc for my check up and as usuall up here they did not even take my blood pressure. No testing for T levels even though I have been on replacement for 10 years. The only thing they are worried about is chloesterol and basic blood work. I have done 15 injections of 80 proof vodka and my right testicle is quite hard and has little feeling. My left testicle is very small and hard to inject so I have been concentrating on the right one. Will start injections again tomorrow and will try the left one as well. They swell up quite large after the injections but don't hurt very much any more. Will keep going till they are dead.

I think your doing two things that are truly dangerous. One is of course injecting this stuff into your testes. The other is going to a doctor and not explaining what your doing. He/she is going to be making assumptions totally in the dark and doing who knows what to try to correct this.

Please! Seek out a therapist that does Gender Identity Disorder and talk this out. They can get you in touch with a doctor who understands this and can help you.

Stay safe!

Thank you for your concern MRT . First of all I am very careful as to how much and where I inject this stuff and to make sure everything is as sterile as possible. Secondly my doctor is not trying to correct anything as my testicles are completely non funtional and have been for close to 30 years because of a medical screw up. Thirdly, I know exactly what I am gender wise and have come to accept it. I guess at this stage of my life I prefer the way I am. I would just like to lose a couple useless parts.

I accept that but why not talk to someone that can help you get to that point? I don't know what the current state of these things are but talk to one of the surgeons like Dr Bowers or Dr Alter about what they need to proceed with an Orchiectomy. I think its a letter or two from a therapist. They just want to be sure they are not doing procedures on people who will come back and say they were not in their right mind when they asked for it.

We've lots too many (ONE is too many) people with do it yourself stuff like this.

There are no doctors in my area who do that kind of surgery with or without letters, I think the nearest is in Montreal and cost about 30,000.00$. My doctor will not talk about it because they would have to admit they caused the problem and that would leave them open for liability. According to my doctors replacement is as good as the real thing and I am fine. Just the same I have quit the injections and will not do anything stupid. Just hope they shrivel up and get smaller.
