I always print in black and have no need for color.
I just print text pages...stufff I've typed up and want hard copies for.
I'm hoping the tech with the Brother printer comes by tonight.
See if you have a local internet based exchange program. In the twin cities, we have "Twin Cities Free Market Dot Org." No one is allowed to sel anything - period. Everything is free or exchange. Sponsored by one of the local recycling companies. Gets a ton of traffic. I've given and gotten many things there. See if you folks have something like that nearby. Often there are printers galore on ours.

Yeah, good idea. craigslist should have something. Maybe even in the free section.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/search ... maxAsk=max
you might get lucky
Just be sure it has a USB port to stick your thing in

No sleep last night. Tech didn't show up for 5th day in a row. I'm beginning to suspect (1) He changed his mind about selling me the printer (2) I'm dealing with a moron.
If I had a car, I'd have a printer by now.

That incompetent computer tech I contacted by phone eight days ago, offering to sell me the used printer for $35 has not shown up yet and I have a feeling I never will hear from him again. Hopefuly he doesn't treat all his customers as he did me.
On Friday, February 1st, when there's more money in the account, I'll take the bus up to our closest big department store here, called Target, and check out their printers. A store called Best Buy might have better prices and choices but taking the bus there and back would mean me being away from the house for 2-3 hours. I'd hate to think how much damage mom could do in that much time.
If anyone lives near me in San Bernardino and has the time, I'd appreciate a ride to one of these stores. I'll have the money to cover the printer and ink it's just carrying it home that tends to be a pain.
BTW my telephone number is 555-Klondike5-4242. Yes, I'm that desperate for a working printer and giving my phone number out.
That should verify both my printing urgency and my senility
