I grew up to realise that, at 6" (measured along the top) x 5" girth (measured mid shaft) I was never under endowed. Like a lot of guys I guess I had believed all the lies and bragging, and seeing guys in porn (John Holmes, Ron Jeremy, etc.) just helped to confirm my fears.

Masters and Johnson had published data on penis size that put me in the average size range, but it's difficult to change self image and I was always jealous of guys with big cocks (to me, big meant 7"+.) I have since read of research studies that suggest that the average erect penis may be less than 5.5" long. But it didn't stop me from renewing my efforts to make mine bigger. By using a combination of enlargement techniques and a lot of time I have increased it to 7" x 5.5". But having harboured fantasies about penectomy in the past, I still find the subject fascinating.

It's a fairly common and normal concern, for exactly the reasons that you describe.

Personally, my fears should have been allayed the very first time I slept with someone... and I was too big for her. Granted, she was an unusually tiny woman and tight as a drum. But that at least confirmed that I wasn't undersized. And subsequent hookups have confirmed that I've got enough meat to get the job done in style (the fact that I have an encyclopedic knowledge of human anatomy helps too; never underestimate the sexual prowess of scientists).

Yet I still feel that anxiety sometimes. It's just a part of our culture I guess, an irrational fear of being sexually inadequate no matter how much evidence you have that you're awesome.
