I greatly appreciate your concern and agree about the inadequacy of modern medicine.

However, I would suggest that Depo-Provera is equally risky. There are whole sites on the web now dedicated to women who have been permanently crippled by allergic reactions to it -- imagine having a reaction to something that will be in your system for three months! There are no truly long term studies on it either. Who knows what will happen when you're older after years of taking it? A woman friend of mine got the Depo-Provera shot without knowing knew she was a few weeks pregnant. Luckily the child seems normal, but who knows? Yep, the medical world is driven by money rather than true desire to help people.

I guess we'll have to compare notes when we're old. I'll probably have holes in my brain from Celexa, and you'll probably have your endocrine organs failing. But as long as we get a few years of peace it may be worth it -- heck look at all the people out there killing themselves with cigarettes!

Perhaps you are right. However, since the majority of users are women all of the reported side effects have been from women. There are not enough men sentenced to chemical castration to know about male problems. Besides, if my testis dissolve, so much the better.
