I want to emphasize what others have already said, and it's that no one should rely on a single spyware scanner, especially RR-Pro. I've been trying that particular program for several weeks now, and have been less than satisfied with it.

The problem is that its scans seem to be cursory, at best. Any spyware program that performs a "complete" scan in about 30 seconds (as RR does) is not scanning all files on your computer. I use "Spyware Terminator" and "AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5," which each take slightly more than half an hour for a complete scan, as well as "SUPERantispyware," which can consume up to two hours if I tell it to scan everything. Half a minute? I don't think so, folks.

good point, shortie. I definately agree that it is best to run multiple spyware removers. I couldn't run microsoft defender because it was attacked and dead. The Norton didn't even see it. In doing some research and comparing the pop ups I was getting, I found the RR-Pro, downloaded it and it fixed my problem. I admit, it was really fast. But it worked! Nest time it may not and I'll have to use something else. That's why it's good to run multiple programs.

For anti-spyware I use:

spybot

spyware blaster

adaware

If those three dont get rid of it, then:

hijackthis

There are a few others that work good too.

For anti-virus I use NOD32.

I prefer :dong: to spyware or viruses anyday...

I like spybot, adaware and the AVG antispyware.

I run spybot's tea timer (real time protection) in conjunction with Defender and AVG free antivirus.

On some systems at work I use Clamwin or Avast anti virus.

If you want spyware/virus tools, www.majorgeeks.com has links that don't come with unexpected payloads.
