It seems as if she hasn't noticed because she isn't bothered. My situation is similar, wife is permanently disabled and has mostly continuous pain of one sort or another, kids are grown up. No sex for more than a year, I have tried but it is like pushing an elephant up a drainpipe! Painful for her and frustrating for me.

Except that I have hypertension, I am tempted to try the andro blocking.

In a way, the fact that it hasn't happened yet has actually put me in a kind of tense limbo. I'm happy that I have my little secret, but the fact that she hasn't even seemed curious as to why I don't suggest sex anymore is a bit of a let down. I think that subconsciously I was hoping that this would be a disappointment to her. Instead, she seems pretty happy to be left alone in the bedroom for a change. What's the good of having a secret when she doesn't care?

Oh well, at least I'm not drooling over her anymore and I can roll over and sleep without feeling resentment anymore. But one day 6 months from now she's going to suddenly wonder what is going on and then I'll have to spill the beans. I'll count the bruises and report them here then!

Yes, that is similar to our situation. My wife suffers from constant joint pain caused by fibromyalgia, and on Tuesday she was diagnosed with myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome. To give you an idea of what that is, we thought she had a severe sinus infection for the past 5 weeks. They gave her a CT scan and ruled out the sinus infection but because of all of her symptoms gave her the myofascial diagnosis. And like the fibromyalgia, there just isn't a lot to be done about it.

So, with constant joint pain and now with facial pain that feels like a sinus infection, chances of her being in "the mood" any time soon are very low.

That is what I really totally appreciate about the androcur. Now that I am not driven to have sex, I can start to understand (perhaps for the first time in 10 years of her fibromyalgia) that the pain totally takes away the fun for her.

I'm 44 and she is 45 so my big hope now is that I can live this way contented for another 30 years or so, or until my sex drive dies a natural death.

How is the increased dosage of androcur working for you?

50mg a day - 7-10 days for me but I have done it before - not sure if that matters- erections stopped in 3-4 days, or slowed to a crawl.

100mg - 5-10 days max....but my body didn't like those.

Watch for signs of depression - it can sneak up on you like the frog in teh cold water vs being thrown into a boiling pot....(If ya know that story).

Depression was bad for me on it......every single time!!
