Some more info:
Increased temperature only stops sperm production, not testosterone production. Bilateral cryptorchid man are mostly sterile, but are otherwise normal men.
I think that higher temperatures only cause a higher risk before puberty. That's why cryptorchid children must have a correction. I remember to have read somewhere that puberty higher temperature does not augment that risk anymore.
