Thank you Christina ^^ I looked over the thread and it helped me quite a bit.

I always push the air bubbles out of the syringe then tap it and check again so i am pretty careful with that. I do wonder though.. what happens when some air bubbles go inside in a intramuscular injection? are they ever removed by the body? or do they remain like holes in there? X_X...

I also need some help with the vial of Progynon Depot.. it comes sealed in a vial of glass and it cannot be opened unless broken!.

I could not break it any other way than by lightly using a hammer and breaking the tip.. which was really scarry because pieces flew everywere... sigh. Is there a special device used to open the vials?

Yes, there are devices made for opening these vials. And, yes the diagram is correct according to the information I was given. --FLO--

Would you happen to know the name of this devices? I'd really like to get my hands on one since I don't want to use a hammer in order to open the vials x _x.

They are known as "Ampule Breakers". Probably available from sources of laboratory supplies. --FLO--

I don't think they're anywhere near as dangerous as the movie-style 'syringe full of air', and I figure the body must slowly get rid of them. I know the docs I've had give me injections rarely try to get every last bubble out, and some have done little more than get rid of the biggest, leaving the testosterone solution looking like it's carbonated.

Since I haven't dropped dead yet from this, I can only conclude that the body is at least slightly tolerant to air in IM injections.
