Someone feeling my balls does not freak me out at all and getting an erection after taking Androcur for 6 month.... the urologist would certainly have to do more than just feel my balls or prostrate for me to get erect... lol. For some reason going to see the doctor and subsequently the urologist just does not seem to me high on my agenda. But I know it should be. As for the NHS, I will see a doctor under the NHS but get the doctor to make me an appointment with a 'private' urologist.
As for your comments.... your spot on

Sac_mec is absolutly correct in stating that your overall health is at risk. Finding the cause of your pain is vital. The possibilities range from the absolutely trivial to the absolutely horrible. I wouldn't want to hear that you were in the latter catagory because you hesitated to act. Pain can be very difficult to diagnose so you must pursue the matter and not accept answers such as: " I can not find the problem, it must not be important.". This usually means: " I think it's all in your head, stop bothering me.". Doctors often gloss over thing that are outside their usual experience. --FLO--

I can understand you may well not want to commit to your PC your appointment outcome. Frequently we prefer some personal space but I really hope that you are back home now and that the pain has been identified and acted upon. Whatever the situation, seeing your Doctor was clearly important.
If you read this at some point in future days, please be aware that there is concern and thought for you and that we all really look forward to reading from you soon. I trust you have received good medical attention and I hope you end the year on a happier note. Greetings for you.

Well my friend, I am on antibiotics that do not seem to be helping. I continue to take a great deal of pain relief medication. Over Christmas a very good friend of me asked why I was down and I told her about my pain. Her husband is a consultant doctor, not in the field of urology, but his best friend is and is in actual fact a professor in urology. He is back from Haj today and I am hoping to go and see him very soon. If that doesn't happen, I am due back to the doctors by the end of the month and then I hope a week later an appointment with a local urologist.
