Humph. As I look out my window, it's muggy, foggy and temp should be 95 today. One good thing is that Minnesota is sending us a "cold front" and it's going to be REALLY cool. Temp should be 85 on Thursday.

River, do they have heaters in Minnesota?
As for as your suggestion as to what could happen to my body, that's a rather delightful thought, particularly at my age.

Looking at River's typing, he must be shivering - his fingers are all over

Where oh where is that hot flash when its needed....
I must admit it is a bit on the brisk side today. Had to roll the window up about half way on the truck. The five-minute snow storm (a bit of crystallized snow), forced me to close the window all the way. Maybe one of these days I'll get my Fall jackets out. Ah, well, River welcome to the Tundra.
Makes one wonder why I've met several folk recently who have moved here from Florida, Texas (3), California, and a few other warm spots. They all can't wait for real winter.

I recall one of the musicians on A Prairie Home Companion (Butch Thompson, I think) kept his cats out in the cold all winter. He did feed them warm milk in the mornings. My cat Georgia used to complain about the cold when the temperature in the apartment fell below 75 degrees. :kittygray
We face a nippy 80 high forecast for tomorrow and a arctic low in the 40s tomorrow night. :shakemitk :shakemitk :shakemitk

IT'S SUPPPOSED TO SNOW?!?!?!???!??!?!??!?
Why didn't I apply to the university of Honolulu? What was I thinking? Toronto? Canada? SNOW IN EARLY OCTOBER!!!! That's it!! I'm going to protest! I'm getting out my most obnoxiously bright Hawaiin shirt, shorts, Beach Boy and Carribbean music, and those tacky little umbrellas for drinks. I'm going to stay in tomorrow and pretend like I live in Hawaii! I'll invite over my friends and we'll have another Hawaiin party.
For the past few years around March when everyone is tired of snow but mother nature thinks that it is perfect for a blizzard I always have a party with friends. We make fruit smoothies and use the little drink-umbrellas, watch a movie like "South Pacific" of that one of Elvis in Hawaii and all wear Hawaiin shirts. We have our own party with pineapple and pork and such things. This year I'm declaring it an emergency state so we'll have a Hawaiin party five months early.
Someone really should write an extremely strongly worded letter to the weatherman letting him know that this is completely unreasonable! Snow in early October?!?!?!? NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt that way when I went to school in Indianapolis. Summer was splendid. Fall was beautiful, but winter was cold--it lasted forever. I came back for a visit in the spring and that was pleasant. But in March, I fled to La Jolla! :-\ Never really looked back.

Thats for sure Flo, you gotta live up here to understand it. We unlike other areas of the country have 4 seasons. They are Spring lasting 2 to 3 months, Summer lasting 2 to 3 months, Fall lasting 1 to 2 months and Winter the rest of the time. Three weeks ago it was Summer, then we had 2 weeks of Fall, the trees went from green to all the fall colors to on the ground and Winter is here.
Like they say, you should have been here.
River
I am glad I like snow.
