Well I did it. My doctor was talking about my age and need for a prostate check. It was then I had my opening. I said doctor I am a eunuch so I most likely do not have any prostate problems. He took it in stride and said it would be good to do blood work to be sure. Of course he did not mention again doing the manual prostate check. Might have been afraid of what he might find. He seemed concerned for my health but did not want to go down the path of why I was a eunuch. Next time when I see him I will be requesting a bone scan. I feel better now that he knows. Of course being nervous about his reaction my blood pressure was elevated so now I have a perscription for a diuretic along with my blood pressure pill. Oh and I also was given a diet. I will read it at the chinese buffet I am going to next.
I've read about white coat bp problems. In other words you see the doctor the stress level goes way up and it looks like you have high blood pressure. For me once I see the Doctor mine goes down. Weird!? I get these lousy readings at the Drug store machine and at home then down to good numbers at the doctors. I think it might be the equipment but... Anyhow - I think a doctor that is professional takes this stuff in stride. Anyone that goes bonkers about it (why?) I would say see you later and shop for a new MD. The one I have has saved my life more then once. My Cholesterol was 380+ now under 100. Blood pressure INSANE now normal (At least in her office) The thing that was thought to be depression was hormonal and now I'm feeling great. Anyway find a good Doctor. Don't go back to the bad ones.

Tugon, although it is cntroversial, that is to say, not all MDs accept it, the only way I know to combat bone loss is to take daily dosages of calcium and vitamin D. The periodic bone scan is smart, too! I take 900 units of "D" a day, and 1,000 mg. of calcium daily as well. If your doc doesn't write for these, you can always buy them. Best Wishes!

But does it "have" to be controversial? I mean Tugon was going to admit being a eunuch by choice and not a health concern like prostate cancer or undecended testes or Orchialagia etc. If the Doc needed to know how it came to be I think he/she would have asked but... At this point what IS the point? I'm very happy that my current MD is very private about my information even tho my skeltons in the closet are pretty conventional. And btw this thing with small companies and insurance is a revelation to me. The company people read all this stuff? No wonder I was shown the door. I wrote down all my prescriptions and I'm sure they flipped out.

I have found that doctors, at least the 5 I've seen lately, don't react to my being castrated. The nurses are a different matter. They want to know why. I tell them pain issues and some don,t think that's a good enough reason. I haven't addressed the gender problems with them. I feel it really is non of their business. I am still a person and that is what they need to treat. I'm now having my issues come up with my lawyers. I'm taking legal action against my employer. They think my employer might try to say I'm crazy and feel pain that isn't there. I can't see this myself as I have MRI's CT scans and X-rays that show my lower spine is damaged. Sometimes we just have to suck it up and take what comes. For enough money, I can handle a little embarrassment. The big problem is that my 4 children don't know about my gender status and my wife doesn't want them to know. I hope there isn't a messy trial where they are involved and it all comes out. I don't worry about doctors.

My Doctor "inspects" me in the buff and of course knows my history but not the nurses. I did have one Doctor whose nurse was a piece of work. I had to say "look I'm here to see the doctor can you finish what you need to do and lets get to it?" She was nosy to the point of being rude.
