I enjoy the smooth feeling but can't say if it's related to castration desires. I get ingrowns (nasty) though, so nowadays I just trim. Personally I see it as being courteous to anyone kind enough to put my dick in their mouth - few people like their mouth full of hair.

I love the hairless look too, but I get the ingrown hairs, and it's not worth it... unless someone has any hints on avoiding this?

I like shaving and I'm doing it since 10 years, but that has nothing to do with castration fantasies.

I shave because I like it and I feel better without pubic hair. I've no problem with growin in hair, but I'm shaving every 2nd day.

Instead of shaving them off, pull them out. The smooth look lasts much longer, you avoid ingrown hairs, and over time, fewer and fewer grow back in.

This is one subject I actually know about. I also agree with the Slammer. The best way to to rid yourself of body hair is to pluck it out. The best way to do that is with an epilator. I've been using the ones made by Emjoi for years. At first I did have some trouble with ingrown hairs, but I started scrubbbing my skin with a dry luffa. I don't get ingrown hairs any more. The luffa should also work for those that shave also. It keeps the surface of the skin open so the hair can grow out instead of in.

As far as epilators go, the single roller ones are the best for the more sensitive areas. The dual roller ones work better for the large flatter areas. When using an epilator, you really need to keep the skin tight where you are working or it might eat you. Ouch 😠 Also be aware that when you start epilating, especially in the sensitive areas, it will hurt a lot for the first few times you do it. After a while the pain turns into a gentle pulling. It has taken a while, but I don't get nearly as much hair growing back. I am hairless from the neck down and the only reason is that, I hate body hair. Also sexual relations with another hairless body is very sensual. I highley recommend it. Steve

I think there is a point when full shaving of the genitals is more than just male asthetic. For example it may point to a desire to return to pre-pubescence.

Body shaving in general reduces ones' apparent maleness; body hair is one of the physical indicators of being a guy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just pointing it out. The dilemna for us happily adult, hetero guys is that the majority of women prefer a smoother look (at least for chest/back/shoulders).

I also admit that just letting one's body hair grow without some sort of management can look pretty gross.

So my suggestion is to use a hair trimmer or beard trimmer set to a fairly close setting (on my trimmer I use setting 2 or 3 depending on the body part). The trick is to keep the setting just long enough that the remaining hair still feels soft (not stubbly).

The advantage of trimming over shaving is that it is very quick (face it: keeping a full body shaved takes a lot of time), there are no ingrown hair or razor rash problems, and you actually keep a body hair pattern so you can keep some semblence of being the adult man you are.

I love having my back, chest, pubic and genitals shaved. When I was about 25 I had to have a hernia operation. Back then they kept you in the hospital the night before and got you prepped for the operation. I don't remember being told in advance (maybe I was) but in comes this pretty good looking nurse to shave me. It was a pretty erotic experience for me, Although I managed to keep things at half-mast. When she was done I couldn't help but keep looking at myself. It kind of brought back these memories of how I looked when I was prepubescent. There were those moles I had, that I hadn't seen for a while. I forgot that they existed, and I looked like a little boy again. I think this is when I first got interested in having my pubes shaved. what a cheap way to recapture your youth. The same thing with chest hair. After a heart attack scare, I went for a stress test and they shaved some spots on my chest to attach the electrodes (or whatever they are) once I got home I finished the job. I have to let my hair grow out because I don't like the itchy feel of them growing back and I have someone in my life that likes the hair. But every once in a while I go for it! This summer I had to visit a urologist and I had dyed my pubes blond. I think from his reaction he could tell I wasn't a real blond! It really is one of those "try it your might like it things".

I think I'm lucky not to have most of the hair you talk about - chest and back, for instance. Perhaps for that reason, I don't do body shaving to recapture prepubescence. I shave my cock base for looks though and my sac (empty) for the same reason I shave my face - to make them look smooth. Usually my BF, but any occasional sex partners as well, spends as much time with his face in my genitals as the area around my mouth, and it's just more pleasant for all if it's hairless. Since I shave my genitals every time I shave my face (every 2-3 days), I don't seem to have any problems with ingrown hairs.

I have occasionally gone for the whole body shave. I kept my arms and legs shaved for an entire year several years ago. The only thing I didn't clear was my pubes. I guess I think they give me a maleness I don't otherwise have. In any event, I think smooth arms and legs did make me look more attractive. My muscles showed up more prominently.

:) I have been shaving my body from shoulders to knees for several years. I used to have quite a hairy body and I enjoy the smooth feeling. I really do not want to feminize so I leave the legs and arms hairy. That way I still look masculine. Any one else just shave because it feels good to have a smooth body? Or am I a little weird ❓
