Again, funny how for me, I enjoy the sexual side effects of the HRT so the loss of libido kind of took a lot of it away for me.......not all, but once a week vs once a day was fine.......

I gained 20lbs and only last week lost the last of it - you'll have to stay very active - and I *am* very active but still gained it, and a larger grocery bill!!

I went from 167 to 187 in about 1-2 months, but when it wears off it goes pretty fast.....

Yipes! 20 lbs???? I don't think my ego can handle that. :dong:

Dear Studlover,

During my time as a chemical eunuch I was taking a daily dose of 300 Mg.'s of Spironolactone which effective reduced my testosterone levels to around 70 pg/ml or slightly lower than your average genetic female. The reason I elected to go with Spironolactone is that it is probably the most benign of all the drugs that can be used to control testosterone.

It worked very well for me in that I don't feel that much different now that I'm surgically castrated from when I was on Spironolactone.

I have also read accounts here on the message board about people sometimes having trouble getting Depo through Customs/US Mail service. The preloaded syringes will show up if they decide to x-ray your package. Spironolactone comes in pill form, therefore it's easier to get through.

As far a weight gain goes, I have heard of people gaining weight after becoming a eunuch, but have not experienced this myself. I feel a lot of it is based on individual body chemistry and metabolism.
