Fred,

Belgium is probably the most expensive plane ticket from Oregon, if "fredoregon" means you're there, that is. Given the crazyness of airline fares, you can probably fly to Thailand cheaper than anywhere in the US? That's what I've found in researching fares.

- Yes. Fredoregon is because 'Fredo' is my neckname, and you guessed it, 'regon' because of Oregon... We moved from Europe in 1995, spent some time in Mineapolis and California to visit good friends, then settled in Oregon with my wife and son in 1996... life is a bit odd, well, mine is. More stable now though...

- read you said in your bio: "Chronic pain sucks; so do Doctors. "

what's going on with you? What pain are you enduring, what's the problem? (if it's ok to ask, of course:-)

I read in your bio that you said: "I was castrated on 12/06/97 in a cheap hotel room in Ohio." ...

I was like "wow!" ... how did you manage that? Was a doc or surgeon present? Or who did it, and how about bleeding, suturing, scaring, hygiene and all that good important stuff..? Was it safe you think?

I used a cutter. No it was not safe but all turned out well. But for many it does not turn out well and they end up in a Hospital. Read my thread called Desperate to be a Eunuch/NO Cutter and you will read my feelings about my cutter and some of the risks. If you have further questions feel free to ask. You and your safety deserve a surgeon. Do not risk your life.

Fred,

I've been through about 10 doctors, 9 of them in 2 years...

chronic testicle pain, the usual, "you need to see a psychiatrist."

Two of them I punched out in the office.

One of them, I dug up his evergreen bush that night and took it home. Another, I stole a small statue from his office garden.

One other got a rock through his window.

I have a very low opinion of doctors these days.

My current one, I pretty much tell him what's wrong and he does what I tell him. Then I let him go on with his life, unmolested. It works well, although he won't address the issue of testicles at all.

But given my allergies, etc., I do sort of need him in place, and I can get an office call for about $40 - he charges more, but he knows that's ALL I'll give him and I'm prone to hit him.

- have you ever thought that may be, sometimes, they all gather for a drink, whining to each other about the mischievous acts you've made them be victims of... :-)

Anyway, you're saying that you experience pain in the testicles, even though it's been removed, right?

I've seen a very serious and scientific documentary on PBS about a year ago (and they show it back regularly) about a specialist who toured the us in search of people with this type of syndrome (some with missing limbs who sometimes feel like it's still attached to their body -they call this 'phantom feeling' or something like that), and he came to the conclusion that it is a very real situation...

After his long study on the matter, multiple 'real time' brain scans of patients, etc... He now think that this happens because our brain has a neuronic 'blue print' of all the parts of our body (we already know that some areas of the brain are affecting some parts and not others -lobotomies taught us that), and that when a part is missing, the brain continues to send informations through synaptic connections, that our missing parts are still in existence (or is it a living testimony that we all have an identical 'celestial body' attached to our flesh?..)

No, they're still there - they just don't DO anything but hang there and hurt.

- I don't understand... if you're in pain, that's a reason more to 'do it', no?

What keeps you from going to see Kimmel, or else? For heaven's sake, have it done once for all, and be at peace!... and good bye pain! Come on! Or am I missing something in the picture here?

Time and money are the problems.

Time and money are the problems.

- I think you have to refuse that any problem is bigger than your need for peace. Money and time are not your masters! You master them, you dominate the things in you life, they don't. If it means to take 2 weeks from work and put it on a credit card, even at high interest rate because your credit score is bad... BE SO !!! You'll always find ways to pay back, even if it takes awhile (it's only 2000 bucks for castration!). At least, you'd have what you always wanted: PAIN FREE!!

And that's that, unless you plan on keeping the complaint song running (keeps you warm with your own self may be?), or is it that you expect the 'miracle' that one day a doctor will say: "ok, since you keep complaining you have pain down there, we'll do the cut for free!" ... No way!

Pain is a high price to pay for dreams that never come to pass...

Gee, Darth Vador, be drastic, make up your mind, do it, and be proud of it!

Money and time, especially with today's credit system, can easily be overcome. You might just have to be a bit sly to make it happen, that' all!

Or sell some of your stuff... even your computer!!!!! Borrow from mom/dad....

"Nothing in the way of peace!"

[unless it means to break one's integrity, of course].

Sigh, such optimistic assumptions about us actually having any kind of paid work. How about if it means not eating food for 2 weeks, then slipping into fatal depression with no hope for expensive HRT or antidepressants? See, everything has a price.
